I smiled as I looked down at the note Anne had passed to me. 'Hey! SCIENCE IS SO BORING!!!!!!!!!!!! I ❤ you.'  I laughed, scribbling down a reply. Suddenly, the bell blared.

"LOCK DOWN. LOCK DOWN. LOCK DOWN. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. LOCK DOWN."

Anne sighed, "They're just trying to convince us it's not a drill so we take it seriously."

"Anne!" Jane frowned, shaking her head.

The teacher glared us, motioning for us to get down immediately. I crawled under my desk, clutching Anne's hand. My mother had died in a school lock down, she had been a receptionist and the shooter had gone straight to her office. The police had arrived a few minutes late. Anne tilted her head to one side, hugging me, "It'll be okay."

Crack! The glass shattered in one window and everyone ducked. A dark-haired man appeared, leering in. He stuck his gun inside, grinning. BOOM! A bullet flew into the room, right under my desk at Anne. Anne! ANNE!

I clutched her as she smiled faintly, "It'll be ok, Catherine. I love you."

"NO! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME NOW!" I cried desperately.

The teacher held me back as her pulse faded.

"You were going to do wonderful things, Annie."

*I'm not allowed on my computer tomorrow, so we'll be finishing Tuesday, not Monday instead. Sorry!*
