I couldn't wait for tomorrow is what most girls( and some guys) would say on the day before their 16th birthday, but not me. Tomorrow I would have to go to my activation ceremony. Where the would enable my necklace to help locate my soulmate. Our necklaces are given to us at birth. They are smooth, round and black stones hung on a leather cord and the closer we are to our soulmate the brighter they get, once you find your soulmate they change to a different color, the same as your significant other. I'd seen it happen a few times before, two people just walking by each other and boom! Bright lights and usually followed by kissing. Some couples find each other in a few days, others take a few years to meet. But the rules are clear, No searching for your soulmate. No removing your necklace and once you find your mate. Thats who you stay with. End of story, don't question the process don't question the leaders. I wasnt particularly fond of getting married at 16 if I find my mate soon. But wed see how it goes.
