*Beep! Beep! Beep!* my alarm blares jaring me out of a deep sleep. "Ugggh" I say as I roll over and hit the off button. Stumbling out of my bed and to the bath room, jeesh its freezing in here. I quickly brush my teeth and hair, wash my face and sleepy walk toward my dresser to pick out some clothes, since its the ceremony today its "requested" I wear something dressy, so I fumble into a knee length white sweater dress and boots. Back for round two in the bath room I turn on my music and hit the song " James Dean and Audrey Hepburn by sleeping with sirens" I gather my long blonde hair into a ponytail, its neat and clean, not to fussy. Some simple pearl earrings slip into my ears. "That's as good as this is gonna get to day" I think to myself. I pop my headphones into my ears and gather up things, book, phone, sketchbook, slipping then into my handy messanger bag. Mom is already at work, and dad should be asleep so I don't have to worry about any of them this morning. I check the time 7:45 am, I need to be at the main building by 8:39 and since I'm walking I need to leave soon. I tip toe down the stairs and come to our little kitchen. Mom always said it had a "country" feel to it with its yellow walls and dark brown cupboards. On our little table in the center of the room was a thermous and a note on a piece of paper " coffee is in the mug, muffin in the fridge, you'll do great sweetheart, love mom" I smile and clutch the warm thermous, open the fridge to find a banana muffin. Man I love my mama. I pull my glasses out of my bag and push them up on my nose. There black and clunky but I'm rather fond of them. I walk to the back door. I can do this I say. One breath. Then two. I pull down the handle and step out into the fall air.
