The sunrise was beautiful, but on the Isle, it was mostly covered by clouds. Remy, son of Maleficent, was sitting on the roof of a building. He watched the sunrise. He stood up and stretched his large black wings. The teen took a small run before leaping off the edge of the roof. He used his wings to fly over the streets. He landed on another roof, joining a person already there.
"Hey Ve, where are the others?" Remy asked the other.
"I think they went to get us food, so most likely the market." answered Virgil, son of Hades. Remy sat next to him. They looked down at the busy market. They talked about the people passing, but that stopped when they saw two other teens running. Remy smiled as they watched them being chased by a merchant. The running teens started to climb the building. Virgil got up and put his hand out for one of the others. Janus, son of Kaa, took the hand and was pulled up. Virgil helped the other one as well. Janus dropped a bag with four apples on the ground. The four villain kids took an apple, biting into it.
"Thanks Jan, Duke, these are nice." Said Virgil enjoying the apple. It's been a day or that he had eaten anything. Food on the Isle was hard to get and people had to steal or fight to get it. The only good place was Ursela's restaurant. Remus, raised by Ursela, ate the whole apple, leaving nothing for him to throw away.
"So today is the day, we are going to the preppy school for royal spoiled brats." he said laying down. The three other teens stayed quiet. As much as they hated the idea of leaving the Isle, it was the best way for them to survive. Their parents had agreed and they had no say in this. Remy finished and threw it off the roof.
"I hate to say it, but it's gonna be better for us, for Vee." He said looking at the floor. Everyone stayed quiet. As much as they hated it, it was the best for Vee. He wouldn't live in so much fear as he did on the Isle. He would be safer, but it would still be hard. All the attention would be overwhelming and he would most likely not talk to anyone. Janus lifted his head and looked at his dear purple haired friend before looking at Remy.
"Please "do" continue talking about that" Said the snake faced teen. His lies weren't noticeable to people, but to his friends they sounded sweet like honey. They never knew how to describe it, but they could always spot his lies. Virgil has not said a word since the conversation started. The idea of going to Auradon high terrified him, his anxiety was rising quickly. His friends noticed Virgil starting to tremble and take deep breaths. He never wanted to burden his friends with his fears, so he never told them when he would have anxiety attacks. Even when he was overwhelmed by his anxiety, he prefered to hide it. Sadly for him, his dear friend started to be able to spot these moments and they would help Virgil. Remus got up and hugged Ve.
"I swear that if they hurt you, I will drown them." He whispered to the emo teen. The green teen let go of him and looked back to the other two. They nodded in agreement. Virgil couldn't help but to smile. The four got up and made their way back to their house. Remy flying with Virgil on his back and Janus and Remus running next to them. The four arrived at a house and they went in. Their parents were seen talking.
"Children you're back! That's great." Said Maleficent opening her arms to hug Remy tightly.
"Your bags are packed, you should go get them." Said Hades. The young villains left their parents and went to the addict. They found four bags on the ground, one for each. They each took the bag that matched their clothing colour. Janus with the yellow, Remus with the green, Remy with the brown and Virgil with the purple. They Left the room and went back to their parents. After some kind of cold and emotionless goodbyes, the four young villains left the house. They saw a black limo waiting for them. Janus gave his bag to Remus and went to Virgil. Remus and Remy put the three bags in the trunk and they went in the car. Virgil got in afterwards, still holding his bag. Janus looked at the crowd and flipped them the bird. He went in, sitting next to his anxious friend. Inside the fancy car, there was a sofa that was the shape of an L. Virgil was sitting in between Janus, at the car door and Remus in the corner of the sofa looking out the window. Remy was the only one on the long side of the sofa. He was looking at a small assortment of colourful sweets. He took a few of them and put one in his mouth. The winged teen was overwhelmed by it's sweet taste. He turned to the other three with the widest smile that he ever had. The others looked at him confused.
"You look like Remus when he put a stick up his butt." Said Janus. Remus looked at him with a smile.
"I would love to do it again." He said. Virgil hid his face with his hood. Before they know it the four are out of the Isle and on the magical bridge. They looked at the clear sky and water under them. They were mesmerized. The car arrived on solid land. The Villain kids look at the greenery around the moving car. The sound of a band playing was heard. Virgil looked up at Janus.
"Too loud.." he whispered to his half snake friend. Janus softly smiled and looked out the car. He was focussed on the events that were about to happen. The car passed through a gate and the four saw a large crowd waiting outside the car.
