"Woah"
Everything roared to life. The Carousel began to dance. The Ferris wheel slowly spun. The Roller Coaster roared to life. Music filled the air as bright light began to illuminate the area around them.
"This is..." Nika said in awe.
"Mastiff Park." Syb said proudly. "The biggest amusement park in the country."
Mastiff park was fashioned like an old European town. It's road was made of red bricks and was lined with old fashioned street lamps. The buildings had an old medieval style but sold sweets and souvenirs when you walked inside. Sweet classical music played on the speakers which were hidden from view. In the dark everything lit up beautifully it was like the park had magic flowing through it. The place was sprawling and had lots of rides, beautiful scenery, and interesting food scattered around. Nika stood in awe watching the beauty of it all.
"Ever been here?" Syb says
"Never..." Nika replied, her gaze not breaking away from the view.
"It's only like a 2 hour ride from Sedna via plane" Syb says. "I'll go grab a map."
That's when they both realized their hands were still locked together. Nika quickly lets go and brushes her hair with her hand. Syb walks to the kiosk to grab a map, his cheeks getting a bit red.
"Here we go." Syb says as he walked back and opened the map. "Where to first?"
Nike turned to peer over to the map.
"Let's go here, then here, then here, then here, then we end at the Ferris wheel." Nika said as she ran her finger around the map.
"Okay sounds good." Syb said as he folded up the map and placed it into his bag. "Lets go."
Syb starts to slowly walk towards the ride but Nika was too excited to walk.
"C'mon!!" Nika says as she runs forward and grabs Sybs hand, dragging him to the ride. "We only got 23 hours!"
Together they ran towards the first ride. Now Syb has been alive for a very long time, but he has never actually been to an amusement park. He just watched people ride it and have fun but he never really bothered to try it. But there he was running up the ramp of the first ride.
"Have you ever been here before, Syb?" Nika says as she turns the corner and starts up another, her hand still wrapped around Syb's.
"Yeah but I just watched really." Syb replied trying to keep up with her pace.
"Why's that?" She said continuing up
"Well, when Redeemers aren't redeeming, we kinda just phase through anything." Syb says in between breaths when Nika suddenly stops.
"You haven't brought anyone else here?" Nika turned to say to him.
"Nope." Syb replied. "Most people just try to Redeem where they died."
Nika suddenly made a huge smile. She grabbed Syb's arm and continued forward.
"It's both our first time's then!" Nika declared. "This will be fun!!"
The first ride was the Raging Galleon. It was basically a giant boat that swung wild and high. Nika quickly walked over and hopped in. She took a seat at the very front of the mast. Syb reluctantly sat beside her. They put on their seat belts and took a deep breath.
"Well?" Nika said as she looked at Syb. "Ready?"
"Yeah. I've been on a boat before." Syb said confidently. "I don't see how this is an entertaining ride."
