"...nna.... Kanna... " my brows twitched in irritation to whoever is nudging me and on reflex my leg automatically kicked the nearest person... Which happens to be....

"Oi! Why the heck did you kick me!! "

"Oh... Thought it was a monkey" →_→

"Does that even make sense!! "

I ignored the seething Nuriko who was beeing held back by Miaka-nee and blinked thrice to adjust my sight from the light emitted by the candles of the small room, as I tried to move around to get a clear view of the room the rope tied on me tightened.

"Hotohori! "

"Miaka? "

With a little difficulty I managed to turn my tied up body to face their direction.

"You're hurt" I looked at his injured arm indicating the wound that is still bleeding.

"Don't worry,it's nothing..nggh" He winced slightly leaning to his uninjured arm.

"If..you hadn't pulled me out of the way I-..." Miaka-nee mumbled feeling guilty,I raised my palm tapping lightly on her shoulder.

"If the Emperor hadn't pulled you out of the away,Miaka-nee you would be a dead and flattened meat"

"Gaahhh! Don't say that with a straight face!" Nuriko exclaimed loudly.

"Huhuhu~ Kanna-chan" Miaka-nee glance at me with tear filled eyes.

I sighed trying hard not to show a smile 'Miaka-nee I worry for your future' I thought glancing at her as she try to hop her way to The Emperor.

Shifting my gaze away from the two,my eyes caught something shiny on the farthest corner of the room. 'What's that?' I thought unconciously staring at it in daze.

Maybe it wasn't really shining but instead that thing was glowing and I felt this sort of pull,like it was calling me.

Kanna stared dazely at the corner but without her knowing,she was letting out her aura,immense pure aura that comes from the blood of Priestesses.

Nuriko who just noticed that it was unusually quite shifted his gaze away from the two staring at each other -as if they were on their own world- in front of him and instead focused on the girl he from the first time they met found annoying.

Though Kanna is usually quiet and by appearance easily "bullied" (quoted by Nuriko) and absolutely not annoying. Nuriko just didn't like her,she wasn't like her cousin Miaka at all. Miaka is fun and bubbly while she (Kanna) is boring (again quoted by Nuriko 😂) and cold.

Nuriko sighed and was about to stop observing (A/N: More like staring🤔?) Kanna when he noticed she was staring blankly at the corner of the room as if there was something interesting in that spot,though when he tried looking at what she staring at he found nothing.

Confused ,he was about to ask her when all of a sudden the door in front of them opened revealing some members of the bandits.

"Well well looks like the prisoners are awake" Bandit 1 said arrogantly seeming to be drunk as the red hue on his cheeks was quite obvious. Bandit 2 chuckled mocking the supposed Prisoners.

"Who are you?!" Hotohori asked subconsciously blocking Miaka.

"You're pretty stupid not to know who we are" Bandit 2 said

"Yeah we're famous,we're the mighty bandits of Mt. Reikaku" Bandit 1 said crossing his arms .

"We will accept this gold as a token for your safe passage" Bandit 3 said showing Miaka's pink bag.

"So you better not try anything stupid while you're here"

Miaka trembled slightly feeling afraid of what might happen to them but then a thought occurred to her 'Wait a minute earlier didn't the mirror showed a symbol? The symbol that appeared in the Mirror was Mountain and Nuriko said the nearest mountain here is Mt. Reikaku! Which means if one of them has a mark on their body,he could be one of the Suzaku Seven !!"

"Anyway just behave and you won't be hurt"

"Baaaaahhhhhhh! *chomp*"

I was suddenly snapped back to reality when I heard Miaka-nee's voice,rubbing my aching forehead I turned to see the cause but was left stunned to Miaka-nee tearing the clothes of those men.

"Behave?! *chomp* You guys are the one *chomp* that needs to behave!!! *Chomp*" Miaka-nee was hopping all around while tearing off the clothes, 'just what happened while I was in a daze?' I thought dumbfounded at what she was doing.

"Miaka! We're gonna end up dead if you don't quit fighting!" Nuriko yelled trying to stop Miaka-nee.

All of a sudden she was knocked on the head by some unknown guy.

"Where'd this brat come from?" I growled lowly noticing his hold on Miaka-nee

"Kouji!" The Bandits exclaimed clutching their torn clothes

"I came because Boss wanted me to bring him one of these Prisoners,we might as well bring him the most troublemaker " He said smirking widely.

"Miaka!" The Emperor

"If you're gonna take someone take me!" Nuriko-baka

"Get your filthy hands off of her"

As if on cue the whole room turned silent,Kouji who was still holding Miaka turned to the direction of the voice.

"I didn't know there was another little brat" Although Kouji said that arrogantly he can't shake of the shiver that rose from his body,such a cold voice he absolutely doesn't recognize. At first when he entered the room he thought there were only three prisoners,he hadn't noticed the black haired girl at all.

"K-kanna!" Miaka who noticed her cousin's glare immediately tried catching the said girl's attention. 'No! This is bad' Miaka thought panicking inside.

Kouji stared at the Black Haired girl suspiciously,When he he was holding the brat roughly he somehow knew that he was in danger like he was stabbed with thousand of knives only to be revive again.

"Let go...now"
