Jade glanced at her phone one last time before leaving her flat to walk to Leigh-Anne's car. Little did she know, Perrie was doing the same thing with Jesy on the other side of town.
"Hey babe!" Leigh-Anne exclaimed as Jade slid into the passenger seat.
"Hey Leigh! Long time no see." She replied with a wink.
Leigh-Anne laughed as she pulled out of the driveway and started making her way to the cafe. 10 minutes later the two friends were walking into a cozy little coffee shop with a few tables and chairs inside. The air was filled with the scent of fresh coffee, and Leigh-Anne smiled at the sight of the familiar atmosphere of her favorite shop.
Jade turned to Leigh, "I'll order for us, go find a seat." She nodded and walked over to a comfy booth in the back of the shop.
Jade walked up to the counter and smiled at the young barista, "Hi, can I get two mocha frappuccinos? Thank you." She handed over her money and turned around to go wait for her drinks.
As she spun on her heel, she nearly walked straight into someone who was approaching the counter to order.
"Oh my god I'm sorry sorry I should've been paying atte-" Jade slowly looked up in embarrassment and stopped mid sentence as she stared into the mesmerizing blue eyes gazing back at her in wonder.
"No fucking way." They whispered at the same time.
"Perrie?"
"Jade?"
"Oh my god am I dreaming?"
Jade took in the sight of the girl in front of her. She was about the same height as her, with beautiful long blonde hair. Her blue eyes shimmered as they reflected off the sunlight coming in through the windows. Jade studied her face, admiring the sexy nose ring and and the perfect jawline and the lips that seemed so kissable-
"Ahem." Both girls jumped at the sound and turned to see an auburn haired girl watching them in amusement, a smirk evident on her face.
"Are you guys done drooling? I need my caffeine."
Jade then realized that Perrie had been staring at her too. She smirked a little when she realized the younger Geordie had been checking her out.
"Perrie Edwards, alive and in the flesh. I can't believe you're actually real." Jade breathed as she stood rooted to her spot, studying the vibrant blue eyes in front of her.
Perrie blushed slightly and glanced shyly down at her feet. She couldn't believe she was standing in front of the beautiful girl she had been texting for the past week. Jade's beauty and confidence was honestly kind of intimidating.
"Uh..h-hi." Perrie stammered, cursing herself internally for stuttering.
Jade's smirk grew even more. God this girl is so cute. "Not so confident now, are we?" She teased, causing Perrie's blush to deepen.
Jesy sighed and shook her head with a smile before walking over to order her drink, leaving the two girls by themselves.
Perrie finally looked up from her feet to make eye contact with Jade once again. Her gleaming brown eyes had so much depth in them, they were captivating. "I can't believe you're here." She finally managed to say.
"Out of all the coffee shops in South Shields." Jade laughed, causing Perrie to smile at the adorable sound.
Jade glanced to a booth from the corner of her eye and saw Jesy and Leigh sitting together and whispering.
"Oh my god." Jade mumbled, narrowing her eyes.
"What?" Perrie asked, concerned.
"They fucking set us up."
Perrie looked over at the booth to see their two friends watching them intently with knowing smiles on their faces.
"Unbelievable." She laughed in disbelief at her friend's antics.
The two girls walked over to the booth to confront their friends.
"What? It was for your own good." Leigh-Anne reasoned, "You just need a little push to realize that you two are good for each other."
"Yeah, Jerrie is real." Jesy agreed.
"Jerrie?" Both Geordies questioned at the same time, causing them to look at each other and blush.
"My point exactly." Jesy laughed, "Jerrie. Jade and Perrie."
A look of realization washed over their faces and Perrie immediately got defensive, "No-we're not...dating, or anything."
"We didn't say you were," Leigh smirked, "But you two want to be friends, so what better way to become friends than hanging out as a group?"
Jade turned her gaze back to Perrie and smiled, "I'm okay with it if you are."
Perrie couldn't resist those beautiful brown eyes and that perfect adorable smile, "Fine. A coffee together wouldn't hurt."
Jade cheered and sat down next to Leigh-Anne as Perrie took a seat next to Jesy. The four girls immediately clicked; it was as if all of them being friends was meant to be. Jade and Jesy enjoyed playful banter while Leigh-Anne and Perrie made interesting small talk. All the while Jade and Perrie kept sneaking glances at each other and trying to hide their infatuated smiles.
After about an hour of jokes, conversation, and subtle flirting, it was time for the group to go their separate ways.
"I'll be in the car." Leigh-Anne winked at Jade and nodded over to Perrie who was putting her jacket on. Jesy, it seemed, had already disappeared to wait in her own car.
"Well this was nice." Perrie said as she noticed Jade still standing with her.
"Yeah, we should do this again sometime."
"We should." Perrie smiled shyly, the older girl making her nervous. No one ever made had her nervous before like this before, and she didn't know how to act.
"Oh come here." Jade said, breaking the tension and pulling Perrie into a sweet hug. Perrie smiled into Jade's shoulder and wrapped her arms around her neck as Jade rested her hands around Perrie's waist. It only lasted for a few seconds but it left the two girls feeling satisfied, smiling at each other with butterflies in their stomachs.
"It was nice to finally meet you Pez."
"It was nice meeting you too Jade, I was pleasantly surprised."
Jade smirked and the two girls walked outside, each heading out to their friend's car. They looked at each other one final time and waved before parting ways.
"Shit....I think I really like her." Jade and Perrie groaned simultaneously as Leigh and Jesy drove away from the cafe.
