Maria's pov

Okay I think this is the right place? I knew I should have asked Rossi this morning. Oh well, hopefully I don't look like a total dumbass, hell I even wore a skirt today.....

......why the hell did I wear a skirt?

3rd person pov

A young woman gently opened the door to the BAU, everyone around her bustling about, too busy to notice the slightly confused woman. All but one young man by the name of Spencer Reid. Confused at the unfamiliar face he called out to Morgan.

"Hey Morgan? Who's that lady over there?"

Morgan lifted his gaze from the file to look at the Doctor. "Who?"

Spencer nodded in the direction of the young woman who climbed up the stairs with grace, almost as if she was floating, to Rossi's office.

Morgan just looked at him, he was at as much of a loss as he was. "No clue but I think we'll find out soon enough."

Spencer just gave a small nod, his brows still furrowed at the thought of who the mysterious attractive woman could be.

Five minutes later the same woman emerged from the office with Rossi behind her, strangely with a softer gaze than they'd seen earlier this morning.

Rossi called out "Team in the conference room, now please."

Spencer, Morgan, Emily, JJ, and Garcia looked at each other with questioning glanced as they made their way to the conference room. Hotch following soon after, after the text from Garcia saying "CONFERENCE ROOM NOW, ROSSI WITH A HOTTIE". To say he was confused and intrigued would be an understatement.

Once everyone was settled, Rossi cleared his throat a bit. "Everyone, I'd like you to properly meet Signora Maria Vitale, she's going to be our linguist and overall backup woman, she studied language and culture in university, skilled in combat having served for our country, and will be helping us health wise, mentally and physically in any case, god forbid anything happens to us or something related to a case. Did I miss anything Signora?"

"Well if need be, I'm pretty decent at sketching so if there's ever a need to sketch an unsub or a witness I'll do my best to help. And please don't think of me as someone who's hovering over you, I'm here to work with you and if need be, a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. I will never judge you for anything, so please, if anything bothers you at all don't hesitate to contact me, anytime of day. Even if it's at ungodly hours I will always answer because lord knows this kind of job isn't for the heavy sleepers. That's about it but a little about me, I was born in Napoli, Italy, so I have a small accent at times, and I love to bake so don't be surprised if I bring a bunch of dessert once in a while. Any questions?"

Spencer quickly spoke up, "Ah yes, I'm Doctor Spencer Reid, you said you're a linguist? How many languages can you speak and how fluently? It's quite interesting because there's not many linguists in the FBI-"

He was quickly cut off by Morgan, "Sorry Miss Vitale, he tends to ramble quite a bit."

The brunette let out a light laugh, her whole face smiling at the comment. "It's totally fine, it's all good. And in response to your question Dr. Reid, I speak as of right now, 15 pretty fluently and still learning more as I go, the fluent ones being English, Italian, Spanish, French, Arabic, German, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Latin, and Greek, Hindi, and Bulgarian. I can sign fluently in English as well."

The agents in the room looked at the brunette in slight awe at the new information. The information wasn't all that they were in awe about. Maria was simply beautiful, so they were all a tiny bit stunned at the new addition. Her slightly wavy hair that was pinned in a loose ponytail had a few small pieces that framed her sharp yet round face perfectly, bright, sparkling golden brown eyes with a bit of green hidden in them seemed gentle and kind, making them all at ease in her calming presence. She wore minimal makeup, a bit of neutral eyeshadow, a dark but thin eyeliner, mascara that made her already lengthy eyelashes look almost fake, and her minty lip balm made her plump pink lips shine when she smiled. Along with her skirt she wore a white blouse top with a black blazer that she currently held in her arms.

Emily was the first to break out of her slight trance in confusion, "Emily Prentiss, nice to meet you, will you be working with us out in the field?" The rest of the team looked at Maria with curious eyes, glad that one of them had asked the question that was resting on all of their minds.

Maria let out a small chuckle, "Well to be honest I'm not completely sure myself, it depends on the cases really. I'd probably work from here unless you guys would need me to come with you, but that'll most likely vary considering my skill sets. Honestly I love being out in the field so I'll probably hop on with you guys as much as possible, I can always convince Rossi with biscotti." She gave him a side glance, "You know, like last time?"

Rossi rolled his eyes, "One time.... that happened ONE time."

Before anyone else could ask anymore questions Hotch interrupted them with a small wave of his hand. "All right, I understand you all would like to know more about Agent Vitale but that can be done later, I believe you all still have to fill out reports from the last case?" When everyone in the room let out some sort of dissatisfaction he let out a small huff of amusement, "Thought so, Agent Vitale I believe your desk is next to Reid and Morgan's so if you'd like to go and set up your things now you should be settled in in time for lunch I believe."

Maria smiles brightly to the room, "Thank you all so much for being welcoming and I can't wait to get to know you all better in the near future I hope." And with that she walked out of the room with a huge grin on her face, excited about working with her new team.

Meanwhile in the conference room they were in silence until Morgan spoke up.

"I call dibs on princess."
