Your eyes slowly opened as you heard the metal door open. You sat up and sleepily rubbed your eyes with your fist. "You ready to take off that bandage today?" You heard Haz ask as he approached you. He set down a brown sack, which contained your food as always.
"Finally. But I hope it doesn't get infected." You said and Haz shook his head. "Nah, boss said we're still going to be putting ointment on it." He said as he knelt down beside you. You showed him your arm and he untied the bandaged, which had been changed almost daily for nearly a week now.
"Haz?" You began as you looked up at him. "Hm?" Is all he replied as he carefully undid the knot of your bandage. "When will I leave?" You asked and Haz stopped. He looked at you. "I don't.. I don't know. Tom doesn't tell me what is in the contract description. It could be after we get the rest of our payment. But im not sure." He said as he pressed a little ointment to your wound. "Have a nice breakfast, Y/N." He said and you nodded in response as he left.
You sighed as you sat criss-cross on the ground. Your good arm holding your head up as you placed your elbow on your leg. You reached for the brown bag but.. you didn't feel like eating.
Thats when all the lights shut off. You looked up confused, hoping it was just an electrical issue. But there was nothing for another few minutes.
You just had to sit in silence, perhaps a bad storm was causing a power outage, or the bills hadn't been paid. At least the annoyingly bright lights were off for once.
You then heard the lock to the metal door unlock and you stood up. It opened forcefully and a light shone in, blinding you. "Hands up!" An unfamiliar voice called to you. You did as you were told.
"It's her." The same man said. Were you being saved? Was it the police? Who'd found you?
"Grab her. Watch her the whole time. No slip-ups." Another voice said. That didn't sound good.
The light neared you, you couldn't see anything past it other than darkness. You were then grabbed by your arm roughly, and yanked towards the exit. "No funny business young lady." The man said as he dragged you through the halls. The lights suddenly turned on again. "We're out of time boys lets move it!" The man who grabbed you yelled. You could hear gunshots ringing throughout the building as you were being dragged through the hall to a familiar direction. You heard someone being beaten up as as you looked to your side, being rushed of course. You only saw a quick glimpse of Tom taking someone out quietly.
He looked right into your eyes as you then passed the wall. You were still being dragged when you heard gunshots behind you and you dove to the ground. It was Tom fighting against the other men who were trying to take you. The man in front of you was now trying to shoot back at Tom but missed as Tom ducked behind a wall. Tom had taken out two men who had been behind you but now it was just the one, who had regained a death grip on you. The man pulled you back up on your feet forcefully.
Tom, unfortunately peeked out at the wrong moment and the man who had you tightly in his grasp shot him in the shoulder. You witnessed this and your heart practically leaped out of your chest. "No!" You screamed trying to pull away from the man. But he still had you in his grasp tightly. So as he got a better aim at Tom you got up and shoved the man making him fall over, you somewhat fell over with the man and you wrestled him for the gun. Tom took this opportunity to hide again behind the wall and this time the man grabbed you by your neck, causing you to release the gun, and hit you with the end of the gun, knocking you out immediately.
Tom had heard the struggle stop, he peeked out as he heard footsteps get distant and saw you being dragged away by the treacherous man. Tom immediately dialed Haz's number.
"Haz, get back here quick. They took her."
