Pan's POV
I leaned by the door of my daughter's room while I watched her scurry about her room, tossing clothes and other necessities into a large ruck sack placed on her bed.
"Let's see."
She mumbled under her breath, shoving her face down into the bag.
"I got all my chargers. Oh!"
She gasped and shot back up again.
"Forgot my charger charger."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. Kids these days.
"Hold on, Ellie."
I ordered and had her step aside before scanning the contents of the ruck sack myself.
"Alright."
I spoke loudly for her to hear.
"You have all your electronics, though I have no idea how you'll use any of them in another, comparatively ancient realm."
"That's okay!"
Ellie grinned.
"I'm taking the camera to click photos. My IPod has plenty of songs downloaded in it. Just in case I do require WiFi, I'll be having my Dongle-"
"Where's your sleeping bag?"
I raised a brow and her jaw fell, before her cheeks tinted red in embarrassment. I just smiled and ruffled her hair.
"Looks like the luxury of the modern world has made your survival skills a bit rusty, huh?"
"I was the first one to know it was you when you switched bodies with Henry."
She retorted in a defensive manner and I chuckled.
"True enough."
I admitted.
"But go get your sleeping bag now. That's what's most important for a camping trip if you don't want to be sleeping on the cold ground."
The young girl nodded her head and bolted out of the room, probably to shriek at Kyle to ask him about the whereabouts of her crucial survival tool. Sighing softly, I continued checking her bag and realised with a start that she hadn't put in her raincoat either.
Excellent, little girl. Just excellent.
I walked over to her open closet to pull out her raincoat when I noticed something and smirked mischievously. It was her diary, which I knew she always wrote in late at night when she believed everyone else was fast asleep. And while I was aware that I should've not breached her privacy, it was the only thing other than her room that had been keeping me sane during the one year that I didn't have her with me. I wondered if she had written anything more in it and, after craning my neck to ensure no one was approaching the door, I opened up to the last page I had read and saw that she indeed had written something ahead of it. Most of the content described how she felt happy being with me and the Lost Boys again, which made me happy, and how she also hoped that I would bond with my "parents" one day.
Which only made me annoyed.
Flipping through the pages, I saw that she had also written about how badly she missed Felix and was just waiting for him to get back from London, because her crush on him had seemed to have ventured far beyond crush by now. I smiled sadly.
Poor girl.
I hated lying to her but I had to do it to spare her the pain. Gripping the leather journal a bit tighter, I finally got to the last paragraph and frowned when I caught a glimpse of the name Rumple. Lifting my eyes up to the beginning of the paragraph, I almost dropped the diary out of the shock I received. Of all the people that that idiot could've contacted, he just had to choose my innocent little girl. I heard the sound of light footfalls nearing the room and quickly shoved the diary back into its original position while deciding to myself that Emma and I had to work fast now.
