" how can you expect me to attend the detentions? When they are more boring than the classes . Okay ! For your information I bunked the detention ." Ryan said with a smirk .

I laughed at his reason just then a car passed me with a great speed and I tripped over a rock . Before I could fall Ryan handled me and let out some curses on the car which had already been out of sight.

" Are you okay ? I don't know why people think of the normal road as some racing tracks ."
" it's okay ! I am totally fine as you catched me like a hero . " I chuckled as Ryan laughed.

" I hope you will save yourself after this because now I can't walk further ." Said Ryan ." What ? Why ?" I asked.
" because I have reached my destination- my home sweet home. " said Ryan with a smile . I waved him a bye as he went towards a big white coloured house .

" by the way , don't worry ! You are safe with Brady. " said Ryan as he winked at Brady and dissapeared inside .

It was not in my mind that Brady was with us the whole time until now .
I watched him . He had an expressionless face . Maybe with a little frown eyebrows.

" should we ? " he motioned me to move ahead .
As we started walking , Brady turned his bicycle around me and took place on my left side while walking .
" you better avoid roadside " he said .
" yeah right " I replied .

The ten minutes walk to my house seemed like an hour walk . It was really awkward to be in someone's company who was not even a proper company .

" so we reach at last ! Umm..I mean this is where I live ." I said clearing the awkward silence . Actually clearing the silence but not the awkwardness.

" It took 20 minutes from the school ! I mean you can ride bicycle or get on school bus , you don't have to walk this much ." Said Brady with concern .
Concern ? This is a new side ....

" nah. It's fine . I am used to walking . Also I love to watch the things around me, the nature while walking ." I replied ignoring the fact that I don't want my mom to bother about my transport fees .

" okay ! Bye ." Said Brady flatly.
" yeah see you soon ." I said .
"tomorrow, see you tomorrow. " stated Brady as he left.

" you made friends so quickly." Said my mom as I entered the house.
" you are home , so early ? I asked
" yeah not so many patients today ." Mom replied.

" I'll take a nap I am tired ." I said before going upstairs .

" First take a hot shower bath you'll feel relaxed , also eat the pasta I made ."

" what ? You cooked pasta ? " I said as I came back running towards my mom to give her a big hug .
" my pleasure ! Now go fast and take a short nap ...we will watch a movie afterwards ." Said mom smiling brightly looking beautiful as always .

I was in no mood to watch a movie today but since it was mom I had to do it . I had to do every possible thing to keep her happy .

She was doing so much for me . Not only working but hiding her loneliness too. She was the only thing I had and she fulfilled all my wishes whether asked or unasked for .so watching a movie is such a small thing I could do for her .

I finished my nap as the alarm went off. The movie started, a chick flick one . I yawned in between and crunched the popcorn to prevent me from sleeping .

But even I don't remember when I drifted to sleep . Next morning I got up on the sofa with a pillow below my head and a blanket around me .

I quickly got ready and walked to the school remembering yesterday's walk from school. The classes started , I attended the lectures and was really tired after solving so many algebraic problems .

The bell for the break rang . I stood up instantly and proceeded to the canteen .

" so how did you end up in the detention room ? Asked Ashton staring at katherine curiously .

" I was giving a brief about my tour to Mia and yes the grumpy algebraic teacher caught me and told me to keep my mouth shut but Mia was keen to know more so I continued and this way I ended up in Ryan's favourite place ."explained Mia " I wonder where he was ?"

" he bunked the detention " I said .
" and where did he go ?" Asked stella .
"May be on the ground, cause once I had asked him and he said he requires fresh air so he goes to the ground whenever he gets an opportunity. " specified Brady.

As we ended up discussing the possibilities of places where Ryan bunked the bell rang . I didn't see Ryan at the school the whole day .I wished he was waiting outside on the gate so we can walk together.

After the school we waved our good byes and Ryan was still nowhere to be seen . Brady was walking along with me , this was the only thing I didn't want to face-the awkward silence that's why I had wished for Ryan to come.

We passed Ryan's house . " where was Ryan today ? Do you have any idea ? I asked Brady.
" umm ... I am not his assistant that I would know where he is at any point of time. " replied brady rudely

" I thought you were best friends ." I replied curtly .
" yeah we were." Said Brady with a change of tone towards a little softer side.
" what does that mean? Why are you using the past tense ? I asked confused .

" none of your business! " he replied.

Something was up but I couldn't figure out what had happened between them .
Ryan had seemed really good to me. In fact I liked his company even though he was so not well mannered.

But here was Brady with such an upset mood I had never seen before .

" umm would you mind if I want to go to the park right now ? I asked hoping he would agree to come with me .

" why would I mind , do what you want to do ! Said Brady  with sharper words but softer tone .
Okay so I had to work more to change his mood.
Only because I was curious to know the reason behind his mood . Right ?
