The truth of trust

good friends !

As the bell rang we all stood up to leave . But Brady's gaze was not leaving me . "Is there something you need ?" I asked Brady as everybody left .
"We have same classes right now ." Replied Brady.

" and what does that mean?  " I asked confused.
" it means that we can talk there. Now let's go before we get some punishment for being late ." Brady replied with eagerness.

As we were seated next to each other Brady asked " what happened yesterday ? " .
" what happened yesterday ? " I asked not getting his point .

" how did you get this ? " he asked me pointing at the bandage on my neck .

I was dumbstruck. I thought no one would notice this . I had not thought for any reason as I was so sure that no one would notice .

Now I had to think of something . If Brady had noticed it then mom would also ask me about it if she sees me.

" I kinda fell." I said as it was true.

" and how did you fall ? And from where and when ?" Asked Brady.

" I umm was walking ...I mean running down the stairs in my home and some needle like thing was on the floor ..and I fell straight on it and it made a small cut on my neck and umm ...yeah this is it" I took a deep breath after finishing.

I was really bad at lying but I was not that bad in making up stories ..maybe he would buy it and leave me alone. I thought to myself.

I waited for his reply but suddenly he bursted out laughing .

" you need me to believe that ? Okay! Just one question...Was the needle standing straight up waiting to slit your throat ?" He asked as he continued laughing.

I ignored him as we sat on the same bench.

The school ended and I kept ignoring him . Hopefully no one else had noticed it.

" Hey rosy! what is that bandage doing on your neck? " asked Stella curiously .

" A needle made the cut ." Interrupted Brady and kept laughing .

This sudden change of his attitude was not easy to take . His laughing was a good sight but not in my favour.

" what ? " Stella asked confused.
" hey come on now tell us . What happened exactly ? " said Brady.

As if I was going to tell the person who took so long to tell me about his problem. Also he was Ryan's best friend even though they had a fight it was better not to tell him about this.

Brady gave up on me and left. Stella was with me ." So what did your mom say ?"asked stella. I quickly remembered the fact that I was not out of danger yet.

" mom doesn't know it ." I replied avoiding telling her the reason.
" and I don't know how to hide this ." I added .

" let's hide it then with makeup ? " said Stella. " come with me ! Katherine will do something " she said pulling me by my arms.

" no I don't want her to know this please ! " I requested her not to involve more people .
" just tell her that needle reason she'll take it . She would be more than happy to help you ." Replied Stella assuringly.

I was glad that Stella didn't push and asked for the real reason. She was an extremely good friend . Most of the time I spent was with her from the group. She was like a best friend now but still I was not sure whether to tell her about the spying thing or not .

I followed her to katherine.  Katherine didn't even ask about the details. She was quick to hide the mark with some makeup products which I hadn't even known.

I thanked her and reached my home with relief .

I had thought of following Ryan after  the school but he went the other way telling me that he had some work and about Brady,  he just left laughing . I was not going to go with him on any condition knowing that I would embarrass myself more by saying stupid things .

Days went by , I had dropped the idea of spying as it was useless . Ryan was not the kind of person who would do anything wrong . May be it was Brady who irritated Ryan and the fight started  . And why was I bothering ?

One day I got detention for arguing with the teacher on some topic and I ended up the second time in the detention room . It was when I found Stella on the last bench looking out of the window.

I quickly went to her and sat beside her.
" hey ! " I said . " woohoo . I got someone for company ." She replied

" so how's life going ?" She asked expecting something new.

" it's going without any adventure .also exams are coming so yeah . Looking forward." I replied with a blink.

As I saw the the whole room again I remembered my first encounter with katherine . Suddenly her sister's topic crossed my mind .

" I hope I meet katherine's sister one day " I thought loudly .

" what ? Why would you say that?" Asked Stella with her widened eyes .

I explained her about Katherine's compliment for my little resemblance with her sister .

" so yeah I want to see someone who has some kind of resemblance with me . Also I kinda like meeting new people . " I explained her .

" I assume that you don't know anything but umm...you can't meet her. " Stella's face was becoming paler as the words were coming out.

" and why is that I can't meet her ? Okay yeah I know Katherine is a not so nice and doesn't allow anyone to enter her personal space but she surely won't mind me meeting her family . Right ? I stopped as I realised I was just rambling and took a breath.

" She is dead." Stella cut in . My breath paused for a moment .

" What ? " I asked .

" Katherine's sister is no more!" Her words came out more as a whisper.

So here's the update.
I increased the pace of the story

I think the story would end within 50 chapters .

And yes you'll get to know more about each character in coming chapters .

I know I have focused more on Brady, Rose and Ryan but every character is important whether it has a big role or a short one and you can't give equal focus to every character .
