The world was covered in this dark green tent, making everything look murky and eerie.

Haven didn't like it, but she knew that wouldn't matter. She wasn't here to find the most beautiful place to venue her wedding, she was here to defeat the Dark Elves and save Jane.

"What I could do with the power that flows through those veins, " Loki smirked, watching the mortal closely.

Thor stood from his place beside Jane, shaking his head. "It would consume you."

The trickster shrugged, turning his eyes on his brother. "She's holding up alright... for now."

"She's strong in ways you'd never even know."

"Say goodbye."

"Not this day."

Haven tried not to pay the bickering brothers any mind, knowing they had bigger issues to worry about. Her eyes peered across the ruins ahead of them, scrapping across each piece of rock and scanning over every dust cloud in the sky.

"This day, the next, a hundred years, it's nothing. It's a heartbeat. You'll never be ready. The only woman whose love you've prized will be snatched from you." Loki spat, standing up to make himself feel better, allowing his body to tower over Thor's.

The blonde brute glared at his brother, "and will that satisfy you?"

"Satisfaction is not in my nature."

"Surrender's not in mine."

"The son of Odin..."

"No, not just of Odin, " Thor shouted, now standing and glowering down at Loki. "You think you alone were loved by Mother? You had her tricks, but I had her trust."

"Trust?" Loki seethed, gaining Haven's attention on their conversation for the first time. She wondered where he was taking this. "Was that her last expression? Trust? When you let her die?!"

The girl winced, knowing that if it was Thor's fault, then it was her's as well.

"What help were you in your cell?" Thor yelled, stepping closer to his brother as their anger boiled.

"Who put me there?" Loki asked, his face morphed into one of agony and rage, "who put me there?!"

"You know damn well! You know damn well who!"

With the first act of physical brutality, Haven stood up. "Hey!" She shouted, using the air to pull each brother away from the other. "Thor, you'll know when it is time to say goodbye to Jane, and I feel as though that day shall pass many moons before it shows its ugly face." As she turned her eyes on her father, she furrowed her brows. "And what of you? Why is it that you have to agitate anyone who is trying to be nice to you? Do you really feel as though Thor let Frigga down? If you do, then you feel the same about me."

The two brothers seemingly cowered under her harsh tone, almost embarrassed they had been caught in such an exchange.

Loki shook his head, "you did everything you could."

Haven nodded, letting the air around them go. The two men relaxed, no longer under the hold of an ability. "We are not here to bicker, so please, let us just get back to the mission."

Jane's eyes opened and she sat up, turning her attention to something in the distance. "Malekith, " she whispered as each of them watched the Dark Elf ship approaching.

They parked the boat in a hidden spot, all climbing off and walking to a hillside.

Haven smiled as they walked, not because of their possible doom, but because of the company of her lifelong friend.
