"You got the money?" Maniac asked his homeboy L.
"Yea Maniac." He nodded, looking around. He always checked his surroundings before he got out. Never knew who would be on bullshit.
"I'll catch up with you later." He dapped him up and hopped out the truck.
He had him drop him off at Mama's chicken because he was hungry as hell and was planning on visiting his mama after three blocks up the street on 4th Avenue.
"Sup Maniac." A few dudes at Fred's greeted. He gave them a head nod before going inside the store.
"Sup Ms. Davidson, how you doing?" He smiled.
"Hello Crazy and I'm blessed."
He laughed at her calling him anything besides Maniac.
"It's Maniac Ms. Davidson."
"Yeah but Imma call you crazy. Same thing. What you want today?"
"Let me get that double cheese burger, no mustard, take them onions off too."
"Anything else?"
"Naw Imma get something from the front." She nodded and handed him the receipt to pay. He grabbed some BBQ lays, a Dr. Pepper, and a Core water before going to the front.
"Hey Maniac." Hazel showed all of her gums.
She was Ms. Davidson grand daughter. She was bad in his eyes. Cute little light skin. She had hazel eyes, an ass that sat up just right but he would never go there out of respect for Ms. Davidson. He knew he wasn't go get into nothing serious and if he hit Hazel she'll be acting crazy.
Nothing cocky he just was speaking from experience.
"How you doing Hazel?"
"Better since you here."
"Girl." He chuckled. "Let me get 3 regular dutchess." She nodded and rung everything up.
"$19.76." He handed her a twenty. She gave him the change back and he put it in the jar they had sitting there. "You going to Smoke party?"
"I haven't decided. I'm not for the crowd."
"Since when? Maniac usually be at everything."
"Shit changes Hazel."
"Don't let that bitch Juicy change who you are. She ain't worth it Maniac." He licked his lips and walked off.
He heated hearing that bitch name. That's why he didn't go to shit because he didn't wanna run into her. Fuck around and kill her ass on accident/purpose.
"Mr. Crazy Maniac." He chuckled and went to grab his food from Ms. Davidson.
"Thank you sweet lady." He smirked and she rolled her eyes.
"Save all that sweet talk for the bitches in the streets."
"You don't wanna be my leading lady Ms. Davidson?" She scrunched up her face making him laugh.
Ms. Davidson was an older woman but she was beautiful. Hazel looked exactly like her which was weird but it was none of his business. She definitely got them hazel eyes from her.
"Boy, I'm not about to be in here fighting for you. Especially my own grand daughter." He started cracking up. "You be safe out there Maniac."
"You too." He handed her some bills and ran out before she was able to give it back to him.
He walked the short blocks to his mama house. It wasn't that hot outside but the sun was whooping LA ass today. He watched as some kids played ball at the elementary school. Memories flashed through his head as hs thought about when he was a youngin. Playing ball was his main priority back than.
