Newt had almost finished giving you the tour, pointing out various building and different gladers while listing names you probably wouldn't remember later.

"Over there are the runners, they look for a way out, and that's their keeper, Minho," Newt told you, as you walked past a group of roudy gladers.

Newt began telling you the names of the keepers of each place as you passed it.

"That's Zart," he said as he pointed to a blonde boy in the gardens. "Winston," he mumbled as you passed the bloodyhouse. He stopped when he came to the area you knew the builders work in. He looked around noticing the absence of the keeper.

"Bloody shank's always disappearin'," Newt mumbled under his breath before Ably called him for something. Newt glanced at you, "end of tour greenie," before limping off to the homestead where Alby stood.

You stood where Newt left you, not so sure of what to do. As you looked around at the builders you noticed them whispering amongst themselves. Although they didn't seem to be whispering about you, didn't seem to notice you really.

You cleared your throat to get their attention. All eyes suddenly fell on you and the boys were quiet.

"Umm, do you happen to know where your keeper is?" You choked out.

"Gally's right over there," one of the boys spoke up, pointing to the edge of the grove of trees.

"Try not to make him mad or he'll beat you up," the boy said in a mocking tone, "he does that a lot." The rest of the boys snicked at that comment, seems like they were whispering about Gally.

"Good luck green bean," another boy slurred as you started heading for the trees, "you're gonna need it."

You swiftly walked away, confused and a bit creeped out. As you approached the grove you saw a boy was sat under a large tree, one knee pulled up to his chest. As you got closer he still didn't seem to notice you, head down, staring at his hands fidiling in his lap.

"Uh, hi," you managed to say, still nervous from what the other builders had said about Gally. You forced a smile as his head shot up, his eyes meeting yours. He had dirty blonde buzz-cut hair,  amazing eyebrows and the most gorgeous green eyes. A goofy smile spread across his face as he looked up at you. He had the most wonderful smile.

You couldn't help but stumble backwards a little bit when he jumped up to introduce himself. You weren't expecting him to be so tall and built and what the builders had said just seemed all the more possible now, so you happened to feel quite intimidated by him. Gally noticed this and hurt flashed across his beautiful face, his smile dropping instintly. You now felt very bad about being scared of him, the look on his face made him seem so vulnerable all of a sudden.

"I-uhh-sor-sorry-I," he  stuttered, taking a step back while scratching the back of his neck, all the time never meeting your eyes.

"I'm (y/n)," you said, smiling at him again, hoping to move past the awkwardness of what just happened.

He smiled again, "I'm Gally," he said, sounding very releaved that the awkward moment was over.

"I know," you replied, which happened to be the wrong answer because his smiled once again dropped.

"Did the builders tell you?" He asked and you replied with a hesitant nod, "what else did they say about me?" He asked almost in a whisper.

"That you beat people up," you felt bad being so blunt about it.

Gally scoffed, looking down. He looked as if he was in pain.

He slowly slid down the tree trunk and pulled his knees to his chest, resting his head on them as he stared at the glade with glazed over eyes.

"That's why I came out here, so I wouldn't scare they you. They said I would scare you, I scare everyone," Gally murmured sadly.

You sat down next to Gally, just staring at him, feeling terrible about him feeling terrible, if that makes sense. He looked over at you with those wet but still  beautiful eyes, the tears he was holding back making them look even more stunning.

You felt such a strong urge to hug Gally right then, so you did. At first he was too surprised to hug back, but then he hugged back and it was the most wonderful feeling.

"Thank you," Gally whispered into your ear, still hugging you tightly, "it's been a long time since anyone has hugged me."

This just made you hold on to him even tighter. Gally seemed like he never wanted to let you go. Eventually you parted.

When you noticed the tear that had run down Gally's freckled cheek you gently wipped it away.

"Awww, Gally," you cooed gazing into his sad eyes.

You leaned in, he leaned in, and before you realized what was happening, your lips connected with Gally's soft ones.

He was pretty happy there on after. You even more so.
