Lets get one thing straight with me, i don't like being social. If it's at a party- okay come on as if i'd be invited to one. I am not fond with the idea of communicating with other life forms. So my first day probably won't go well but hey- what's the worst that can happen? They lock me in the toilets and i'll never be found again, only found thirty years later they find me old and wrinkly?

I walk downstairs, trying to add a limp here and there, and limped into the kitchen where dad was buttering up some toast, i let out a hopefully realistic cough. "Daddy, i feel sick." I made my voice croaky and hunched my shoulders to make my posture look smaller, i added a pout just to seal the deal. Dad looked at me, raising an eyebrow he walked forward and rested his cool hand against my forehead. "No, no you're not." He walked back to butter toast.

"B-But," I stuttered, not being able to find the right words, "I'm ill-" "You're not ill, I've got a degree in psychology, and i can easily tell if someone if lying! Now go brush you're teeth, have a shower and be ready in fifteen minutes!" He ordered, i stayed in the same place, shocked out my mind. "Now!" He pointed to the door. I muttered some words that i'd rather not say out loud under my breathe and made my way upstairs to the typical blue painted bathroom and began to brush my teeth and having a shower, leaving the bathroom smelling of strawberries and the whole place very steamy.

I wore my undergarments and slipped on a American Flag vest top, a pair of grey skinny jeans and accompany the outfit with Blue Converse, i began to debate if i should hide the freckles scattered on my cheeks, then deciding not too and left them to be exposed to the world. I took some black eyeliner and outlined my eyes to make my brown eyes pop. I brushed out my hair and plaited it into a fishtail. Walking back down, my Dad handed my toast. "Get in the car, i don't you to be late on you're first day of school. I don't want to be late for work! We're interviewing this twenty-two year old..."

I opened the car door, letting the sun heat my skin. Dad grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I stared at him, confused at his sudden action. "I know you're not happy with the moving to a whole new school, it isn't easy i get it-"

"Dad, i beg of you please get to the point!" I asked, rolling my hands to emphasis the point to make him hurry.

"I'm getting there," He said, "Just try and talk to people. Make friends and try not to be so...awkward!"

I nodded my head and he kissed my forehead, wishing me luck, i walked out the vehicle and began to walk to the office. Opening the big, brown wooden door to the reception. I saw a lady with strands of  grey mixing with her black hair, a pair of glasses were perched on the bridge of her nose, and a pile of documents sat on her desk which looked dangerously high- i'm pretty sure it's a health hazard. I cleared my throat and she turned her head, meeting my eyes.

"How may i help you?" She asked, pulling up her glasses.

"I'm the new student? Audrey...Audrey Hess."

"Oh yes of course! Sorry, it's been a tiresome weekend." She apologized, getting up and opening a drawer and getting out a piece of paper and two notepads. "This is you're timetable, you're diary to write the homework you have been assigned and a notepad to write all you're notes." She smiled and handed the items to me. "You're diary has you're locker combination inside, welcome to Lakeside!"

She nodded her head and went back to her word search, i walked out the reception and scanned my eyes over the timetable to see that i have History first. I began to walk down a long corridor, before finding my locker and opening it- to find that all my books were already placed inside. I curled my bottom lip and gently bit it, impressed. "You must be the new girl!" A chirpy voice said, making me jump. I turned to see a girl with soft brown hair that flowed slightly passed her shoulders and was dip-dyed pink, her bright green eyes glowed and a small innocent smile was plastered on her face- making that the cherry on top. She wore a cream shirt with sleeves reaching to her shoulders and white skinny jeans and sandals.

"Yes...may i help you?"

She clapped her hands with excitement, "Oh fantastic! Well you see, i'm Lillian but call me Lily! You're Audrey!"

"And how do you know that?" I asked her, confused.

"I got told, i'm giving you the tour of our school i'm in all you're lessons except English and i think it was Biology." She added with a pout.

"Nice to meet you." I said rubbing my bare arms, she took my arm gently. "Am i making you feel uncomfortable? Sorry, i just get excited over nothing, it's stupid really-"

"Oh no, it's fine, i guess i'm just nervous." I quickly said, "A new school is gonna freak you out."

"Right, well let's get to that tour, you'll have to miss History, the head has only given me an hour for the tour!"

"And that concludes our tour, be sure to buy a map and a few gifts!" Lily joked with a wink, as we walked into the canteen, the tour went on for two hours instead of one- making me miss History and Maths. "I'll be right back, i need to get my book for Biology." I said and quickly disappeared into the corridor, a gust of air hit me in the face and i reached my locker. Turning the knob to the right numbers, the locker refused to open.

"Oh for God's sake!" I began to get frustrated, "Open, please!" I pressed my forehead against the cold metal and closed my eyes, wanting to curse the company who made this.

Out of nowhere a deep voice jumped me out my thoughts of murdering this locker.

"You need to sometimes give it a hit." I lift up my head to see a boy my age, maybe a year older, with brown ruffled hairs in layers with a green beanie hat pressed on top. His hair was swooped to one side to give it that ruffled, bed head look. His face was smooth and chiseled. He wore a loose black v-neck shirt and a pair of skinny jeans with Vans on his feet. He looked down at me, a smirk on his face.

"Must be the newbie, Aubrey right?" He asked, giving a punch on my locker door which then swung open.

"Audrey." I corrected him.

"Whatever." He mumbled, and leaned against the locker, "What's a pretty girl like you doing here? Alone for that fact." He raised an eyebrow.

I crossed my arms over my chest and stood up straight, "That is non of you're business, i don't know you or you're name-"

"Ryley," He said, "Ryley Esold." He cut me off.

"Well, Ryley Esgold, i'd rather you keep away from you, so please move out the way so i can eat my lunch." I said, not fully meeting his eyes.

"Feisty, i like that!" He smirked, and i rolled my eyes at his comment.

He came closer and i shoved him away, gasps filled the room. I was so caught up with standing up- well attempting to stand up- that i didn't see people walking towards the scene. "Stay away from me!" I hissed, getting agitated.

He raised his eyebrows, and i pushed past him, breathing heavily and walked back to the canteen where i began to calm down, i walked towards where Lily sat with another boy with sandy colored hair and pale blue eyes. "Audrey, this is Cole." He gave me a nod and a smile, which i returned and he went back to eating his bagel.

I sat down in between the two and got out my lunch. As i began to bite into my sandwich, Ryley walked in and all the girls began to gawk at his appearance, probably dreaming about having his future children. He gave me a smirk and a slight nod then walked away with his friends. Lily stared at me, so did Cole.

"Did...did Ryley just smirk and acknowledge you're existence?!" Lily asked, her eyes wide as saucers.

I shrugged, not bothered. "Oh god, i need support." She laughs and laid her hand on Cole's shoulder, "I see you just met Lakewood High's very own Ryley Esgold."
