"I heard you were taking a hunting party out." I said approaching Bellamy and Murphy. Bellamy smirked, crossing his arms over her his chest. "So what?" I smiled and chuckled, "I want to come." I said seriously, causeing them all to start laughing. I rolled my eyes, waiting for them to stop, "Yeah right princess. That's not happening." Miller said. Bellamy nodded, turning his back to leave. "I'll make you a deal." that seemed to grab their interest. "What do you have that I want huh princess?" I held up my right arm so he could see the wristband.
He nodded slowly, tossing me a weapon. "If you kill something, you can keep it. If not, it's bye bye." I nodded, "Deal." he grinned, "Come on then." he said leading us out. I looked back, where Murphy looked on angrily and offered him a smile. He returned a small one and walked away. I grinned as I followed the others into the camp for supplies. I met Bellamy and the others at the gates with my pack, "Let's go." Bellamy said leading us into the woods.
We had crept up on a boar, silently and were waiting for Bellamy to kill it, seeing as he claimed it was his. He was poised to bury the hatchet in it's back when a twig snapped, diverting his attention. He threw the hatchet at the approaching 'target' instead. I ground my teeth as the pig started fleeing and threw my makeshift spear at it. It planted itself into the shoulder, and the pig fell. So I slit the throat.
When I looked up, the others were staring at me, including Bellamy. "I said it was mine." he repeated. "Sorry, you were too busy trying to slaughter some kid." I reminded him. He shook his head, "On the bright side, I killed something. So I win." I said with a smirk. "Mat, take that back to camp. The rest of us are going to keep looking." Bellamy announced.
He approached me once everyone had moved out, "Where'd you learn to do that?" I shrugged, "My step dad and his friends taught me a lot of stuff." I said quietly. "Step dad?" I nodded, "You might know him." Bellamy arched an eyebrow in confusion, "Marcus Kane." I said simply. "He took me in after Chancellor Jaha floated my family." he nodded, "Kane was the only one who believed me, at least he was the only one brave to publicise it anyway."
"About what?" he asked, "I'll make you another deal." I said, "If you tell me how you got down here, I'll answer any three questions you have." I said. He debated it for a while, "Okay princess. Deal." he said and shook my hand. I smirked, "Okay, let's go kill shit." I said running to meet the group. I heard Bellamy snort a laugh before joining us. I laughed as I listened to Charlotte talk about Murphy like he was the worst thing invented. Even Bellamy was grinning slightly.
The air was light and refreshing, until Miller spotted something. "What's that?" he asked, it took a secong for it the connect in my brain, "It's a radiation storm." I said, "A what?" I shook my head, watching it get closer, "Run. Now!" I yelled, and they all split up, I was right behind Bellamy and Charlotte, until I tripped on a tree branch. I coughed as I inhaled some of the gas, but I felt someone grab me and drag me into a cave.
A canteen of water was shoved into my arms as I coughed, my breathing laboured. I took a generous swig, then looked up to see my saviour. "You keep saving my life." was the first thing out of my mouth and he laughed, "Should I stop?" I shook my head, "No, just." I shrugged, "Thank you." I said as my eyes locked with Charlotte's, "Are you okay?" She nodded quickly, "Good. I hope everyone got out okay." I said hopefully. "I don't think they did." Bellamy said sadly.

We all laid down to get some rest, but not long after, were woken up by Charlotte's screams. Bellamy shook her awake gently as I rubbed the back of my head. I hit it on the rocks when I shot up, I watched Bellamy comfort Charlotte, thinking about how different he was with her than he was at camp. I smiled to myself, not realizing that Charlotte had turned her back, her soft snores indicating that she'd fallen asleep again.
