"I feel bad for shipping the besties." Seongmin sniffed.
The movie just ended and seongmin here is still crying. He hoped that the lead female character will end up with his bestfriend, but not. She ended up with the bestfriend's brother.
The taller chucked. "Why did you ship them at first? It's quite obvious they won't be together at the end."
"Cause they look good together! I mean look, they know each other so much! And they're so cute together!" The younger replied. Getting more tissues.
"Yes, exactly. They look good together, as bestfriends." Taeyoung replied.
"What if, just.. what if they ended together? I think that's more a good ending."
"I don't think so." Taeyoung replied and rested his head on Seongmin's shoulder.
"Why so?"
"Because if they ended up together, I think it will be more complicated. I mean look, they just treat each other as bestfriends, more like sisters and brothers. So what if they had a fight? Or worse a break up? It will hurt more. Because you'll lose a lovelife, and a bestfriend. That hurts more."
The younger stayed silent. It attacked him. It feels like he was shoot by a sniper on his heart.
"You think bestfriends are no good to be together?" He said, more like a whisper. He was fighting his tears not to fall infront of his bestfriend
"Yeah. Look at you and me, we're still bestfriends. And just bestfriends, so that we won't leave each other. No break ups."
"Y-yeah, just bestfriends.." he smiled. "I'm so stupid shipping those people who are just friends."
So stupid for shipping you and me. Stupid for thinking that we are meant to be even though you already have someone else.
"You good?" Taeyoung looked at the younger. "Are you still sad about the movie? Lets watch a comedy movie then."
He just nodded. Slowly removing taeyoung's head to his shoulder. Saying that its uncomfortable.
They are watching a comedy movie but the surrounding seems so sad and dull.
Taeyoung noticed that the younger wasn't laughing at the funny parts. The younger looks like he is in his deep thoughts. Taeyoung was worried but decided to stay silent.
The comedy movie ended without a smile on their faces.
