The Wave

There is a wave that keeps on flowing through my system
A wave of happiness and peace
It signals a sign that everything is going to be alright, regardless
This wave gives us hope and dreams

However, ahead of it lies a tumultuous journey
One that is surrounded with potholes of sadness, pain and confrontation
It is going to be a very difficult path

It is the hurricane before moving on
It is the chaos before peace
It is the anger before forgiveness
It is the storm before calmness

Before I enter this wave, I must be forced to tackle it head-on
In order for me to achieve victory, I need to face my demons and make them surrender to my knees
