A Different Life: Chapter Four

Poppy, Branch and King Peppy done some bonding together around the village. Whenever other Trolls noticed them walking by, they went towards them to congratulate. Poppy and Branch thought its kinda early for congratulations. They just shrugged it off and continue doing what they call Family Bonding.

The three Trolls were having a great time, until they noticed its starting to get dark. They must be having alot of fun they lost track of time.

"Mannn I dont wanna separate yett" Poppy whined. Branch had a simple idea. He couldnt let the time ruin their fun. "Why dont we, Just the three of us. Have come to my place?" Branch smiled. Poppy looked at him, "Branch I thought you dont like anyone in your bunker?" Poppy seemed a little confused. "What kind of person am I if I dont let my family in?" Branch amswered Poppy. King Peppy is proud at her daughter, for having a loving boyfriend.

"Aww Branch. Im happy for you" Poppy hugged Branch. "Happy for what?" He asked her girlfriend. Poppy looked at him, "For being who you are now! You've changed alot for the past weeks or so! After all these years of hiding who you are" Poppy kissed Branch. "Thanks to you, I wouldn't be who I am now without you" Branch kissed her back. "Aww your just too adorablee!" Poppy pressed Branch's nose. He chuckled, "Your more adorable" He pressed her nose. Poppy laughed. "Arent you two forgetting someone" King Peppy spoke up. "Sorry dad" Poppy and Branch apologized. Peppy was flattered when Branch called him 'Dad', Surprisingly Poppy didnt notice. "Its alright you two" Peppy chuckled. "This was supposed to be a Family Bonding but-" Peppy cut of Branch. "Its alright my boy, Im happy to see you two have an unbreakable relationship" Peppy smiled, as Branch smiled back.

"Well lets go now, Its getting pretty dark and I want us to be able to arrive safely" Branch turned around, looking the forest. Poppy giggled. "What's funny?" Branch turned his head to Poppy. "Nothing, you may have changed but your protective side havent" Poppy replied, still slightly giggling. Branch chuckled, "I dont see what's funny about that" Peppy started chuckling. Branch was happy to know that Peppy liked him alot.

"Anyways, Lets not get distracted and go" Branch started walking towards the forest. "Aww your boring side came out" Poppy joked as she and her Father followed Branch. "Hey, Im not boring" Branch sarcastically replied to Poppy. She playfully rolled her eyes, but she didnt go unnoticed. "I saw that" Poppy was a little suprised he noticed, even when he wasnt facing her. He must have some good Instinct and Observations. Must be all those years of being a Survivalist.

It started getting really dark, Branch started getting worried something might attack them. "Why did you have to build your bunker far away from the village" Poppy groaned. King Peppy chuckled a little, but she does have a point. "Well its not my fault your parties are so loud" Branch looked behind him to face Poppy. "Have you thought of moving out?" Peppy asked Branch. He looked at Peppy for a sec, "Hmm. I guess, But I still have to get a hang of the loud noises everyday" He looked back at Poppy.

She giggled a little. "Whats so funny?" Branch asked Poppy. "Ooh its nothing important" Poppy replied. Branch just shrugged then looked back at the path in front of them.

Everything was quiet and peaceful. Though Branch thought its suspicious, and tried to keep his quard up incase.

After a long walk, they finally reached Branch's bunker. "Okay guys we've arri-" Branch got cut off by something hitting his face, causing him to fall on to the ground. "BRANCH!" Poppy yelled. "What was that?!" Branch tried to get up, But fell off again when something dragged him down and pinned him. "What the?!" Branch tried to free himself. But the grip is too strong. Branch tried to scan the attacker. It was a predator. He couldnt focus properly because fear is controlling him. He never felt this scared, But why? Why now? Branch asked himself, The Predator was about to kill Branch with its sharp teeth.

Poppy and her dad couldnt find a way to help him. They were helpless! But Poppy wont let him die. She couldn't attack the Predator, but how? They were running out of time. Until she suddenly remembered, How did we forget?! "Branch! Your powers!" Peppy looked at her, Powers?

Branch felt stupid for forgetting that. He tried to focus, and waited for the right timing. His hands started to glow bright blue. As the Predator was about to bite him. He immediately shoot sharp edged ice with both hands at its eyes. The Predator shouted in pain and fleed away from the Forest.

Branch groaned, Not believing he'e still alive. While Peppy.. He stood still, in shock. Branch then realized The King watched. He found out. Branch immediately sat up and looked at King Peppy, "K-King Peppy, I-I can explain-" "No need to explain." Peppy cutted of Branch. Poppy got worried. "D-Dad please. He-" "Its alright Poppy, I understand. But why?" Branch was a little confused. "W-What do you mean by why?" Branch gulped. "Why keep this a secret?" Peppy made his question a little clearer. Branch sighed. "I-I was just worried that you all would think of me as a burden because of it. Me and Poppy planned on when on letting you all know when the time comes. But the time isnt right now.." Branch deeply frowned. Peppy walked closer to Branch. He was getting really nervous. Peppy bent down to look at Branch closely. "Its okay, Branch. We all have flaws, So dont be afraid to have them. No matter how big or small, They'll understand."

Peppy patted Branch's shoulder. He let a tear fall down to his cheeks. "Thanks" Branch hugged Peppy thightly. "Dont worry about it" Peppy hugged him back.

While Poppy, She was happily watching them like its a Father and Son bonding. "You two get along so well!" Poppy cheered. Both King Peppy and Branch chuckled awkwardly. "Ya know its getting dark, why don't we go in?" Branch said while he stood up, and went towards the trapdoor, Opening it. Poppy and Her Dad nodded, and went on the elevator.

Branch then pulled the lever, Making the Elevator go down.

The Three Trolls were having a quick chat while the Elevetor goes down. Until they reached underground.

Branch went foward, "Well welcome to my home, I guess" He awkwardly said the last part. Peppy looked around in amazement. How could Branch do these all by himself? "How did you make all these, Branch?" King Peppy asked. "Well.. I guess you could call it Talent?" Branch rubbed his back head, Slightly Blushing awkwardly.

"Its amazing! Almost Impossible to understand how" Peppy complimented the work of Branch. Poppy was chuckling at his reaction from seeing Branch's bunker. "I-Its nothing really" Branch was getting pretty flattered from the compliments especially coming from the King of the Village.

"W-Why dont we just find a movie to watch?" Branch suggested. Peppy nodded, "Which way is the living room?" He asked. Poppy walked towards her fathers way, "Ill take us there!" Poppy answered her dad. "Great, Now ill catch up to you guys while I grab the snacks" Branch went ahead to the Kitchen.

Poppy grabbed King Peppys hand. "What are we waiting for? Lets go!"
