A Different Life: Chapter Six

As Poppy and her father arrived back in the Village. Every Troll near them greeted "Welcome back" to both of them. Letting out a soft chuckle.

Meanwhile Branch finished his breakfast. He cleaned up the drops of cereals from Poppy.

As Branch finished cleaning, He went to his room, sat down on a chair and dropped his head on the desk. He suddenly heard something fell down. He peeked down, finding a dry red rock, making his eyes open wide in shock. "I forgot I still had this.." Branch sighed and picked up the rock. "Such an Idiot I am, cutting myself" He pouted, then placed the rock back to where it was. Branch rested both his arms to the desk, then putting himself back to the desk.

"I dont think I make it up to Poppy yet" Branch sighed. He popped his head up "Maybe mar- what are you thinking its too early" He facepalmed. "Or maybe not.." Branch stood up and ran to his bookshelves, finding a book about "Marriage". He thought he was out of his mind, but he didnt care. He loved Poppy so much.

He quickly ran back to his desk and started reading the book.

Back to Poppy

Poppy currently in her pod, Her dad went back to his pod. Poppy laying on her bed, looking at the ceiling. "Its so boring without Branch" she whined. "What could he be doing after breakfast?" She asked herself.

Poppy suddenly had an idea. "OH! Maybe I could find him a new place to live in! The Bunker is cool and all but also kinda pretty gray and lonely." She hopped up to her bed and quickly went outside, already scouting a suitable place for Branch.

Back to Branch

He got it. He planned on having a date night with Poppy. She likes going to the mountains and watch the stars. There, Branch will propose.

"First things first, I need a ring for her" Branch said to himself. "Then ask Poppy to go stargazing with me. Then propose" He continued. Then checked the clock. Reading 10:58 AM.

Branch went towards the elevator and pulled the lever.

As he arrived to the surface, Branch immediately ran to the village.

With Poppy

"This is harder than I thought. I need my friends for help" Poppy said to herself. The quickly then went to look for the Snack Packs.

"Need help?" Someone behind Poppy asked. She jumped then looked behind her. It was Smidge.
"Oh! Smidge you scared me!" She exclaimed. "Anyways I need help to find Branch a good place to live." Poppy continued. "Say no more" Smidge said then quickly ran, leaving Poppy confused. "Where are yo-" Smidge immediately brought the whole Pack with her. "We're ready!" The whole Snack Pack said aloud. Poppy smiled, "Thanks guys" She softly said.

With Branch

He was already finding a ring good enough for Poppy. Until a rose gold ring caught his eyes. "This looks cool" Branch whispered to himself.

"Planning on proposing with princess Poppy huh?" A guy in the counter said. Branch looked up at him, rubbing the back of his neck. "Y-Yeah" He answered. "Did this caught your eyes?" The guy pointed at the exact ring Branch was looking at. "Yeah but it kinda looks pricey" Branch murmured. "Oh dont worry, we sell it in a fine price" The guy smiled. "Well uh- then ill take it?" Branch spoke up. The guy on the counter took the ring out and placed it to a small, black box. Branch brought up his wallet, (Yes, wallet) and paid. The guy then gave the box to Branch.

"Take care!" The guy waved. "You too" Branch waved back as he walked to the exit.

As Branch left the store, he opened the small box, and looked at the rose gold ring. "Cant wait to propose!" He said excitedly. He then closed the box and placed it on his pocket.
