"What's up with everyone today?" I ask looking around the cul-de-sac to see parents putting up small booths, grills, and tables out on the street. "Y/N did you forget what day it is today?' Ginja asked me crossing her arms in front of her chest while looking at me with a disappointed look, "isn't today July 4.....oh my god its the Fourth of July!!!!!" Smacking my forehead embarrassed that I forgot the most important date "I just had a major blonde moment there, but that doesn't explain what's happening to the neighborhood." I try to retort with the current events happening now. "Well every year on the Fourth of July, the city puts up a fireworks display for the neighborhoods that can't afford to go to those other displays in the next town over," Tabbes explained, "since our sister town next door always shows off the best fireworks for their citizens, and when the people here found about that out some wanted to watch the show," Emily further explained, "and well lets just say that our sister town ripped off a lot of people last year, since parking for those that went was very expensive and they weren't able to buy any fireworks for this year to enjoy." Emily raised her pointer finger to further end her explanation and gave me a closed eye smile, "man everyone was so pissed that they started to complain to the city about putting up their own fireworks display, and eventually those bastards complied and now this is what's happening," Tabbes placed her hands at the back of her head while laughing, "well I'm glad that I will be able to watch the fireworks with you guys this year," all three girls stopped in their tracks looking away, while I to stopped as well looking back at them, "I-I am going to watch with you guys aren't I?" The girls fell silent, "what's the matter? Don't tell you guys have to work during the display?" "I'm sorry N/N but some of our parents put up booths so they probably need extra hands to be able to manage them till the display starts." Emily informed giving me a sad smile, "you to Ginja? Are you going to help your parents?" "Yeah my folks volunteered to help out," Ginja scratched the back of her neck, "and I'm guessing you as well Tabbes?" "My folks are doing a face painting booth for the kids, and since I'm the only creative one in the family they are making me do it," Tabbes let out a sigh. "Well will I see you guys during the display?" "Yeah for sure once the display starts everyone stops working after that, then that's when we would have to help put everything back" "which that is going to a bitch thing to do and I'm not really looking forward for that to happen," Ginja whined and made a sad face about that, "well I can help if you need an extra pair of hands," I held up my arms while smiling at my friends noises rang out from the girls phones and they look at what it was, "guess its time for us to go" all three started walking to the booths on the street, "you better keep you word and help us clean or so help me I'll drag out of whatever you doing and force you!!!!" Tabbes turned herself around while walking backwards holding her hands in front of her mouth to project her voice, "I promise, I won't forget!!!" Doing the same action back, "see you guys later!!!" Waving my hand goodbye I watched the girls go do what they got to do.

Looking out at what the people did in the col-de-sac it looked so beautiful, booths lined up with varies foods and activities, poles surrounding the area with fairy lights twinkling the orange almost pink sky, large long tables already occupied with people with a couple of grills, and a bouncy house for kids to play on while their parents can be occupied with something else.
