-Cass-
Okay calm down, you'll know her when you see her... even though you don't know what she looks like, or sounds like.
"How will I know!!"
Lian rubbed my back and soothes me even if just for a second.
"You will know."

-Elise-
The girls were ready so I ran upstairs to get my dress.
I walked down the stairs and the three girls dressed in lace and satin looked at me like I had nine heads.
"I made it myself."
My stepmother smiled and walked over to me.
"You really think I will let you go to the ball."
She ripped my sleeve off and my stepsisters joined in laughing and taunting me.
"What did I ever do to you?"
The girls walked out, I sat and cried for what seemed like an eternity.
"Hello?"
I jumped and looked around, the door was left open and a old woman was standing at the entrance.
"Why do you cry?"
I pulled myself together and stood.
"Oh it's nothing to worry about, do you need something?"
"No I do not need anything but you could use a new dress."
I chuckled, it was quite obvious my dress was trashed.
"It's no use now, I am not allowed to go to the ball."
"Says who?"
I smiled how was I suppose to explain my stepmothers actions.
"I do not belong there." It was the easier way of explaining.
"I can change that."
The old woman cracked her cane and it began to turn white and covered in silver. My mouth would catch flies if any were to wander over. Soon the woman was a beautiful young lady with a smile prettier than pearls.
"How?"
"I'm your fairy godmother Elise."
Fairy god mother? My mother used to tell me stories of those.
"Now we must hurry, the ball will start soon!"
I smiled but how was I going to go, what if Laverna seen me?
"She won't."
I looked up wondering if I had spoken out loud.
"You're an easy read."
I shook my head and the woman looked around for something.
"A carriage,"
"Oh the broken one Is in the backyard."
"Let's go than!"
I had showed her the old carriage my father used to use and she grabbed her wand and tapped it, sending sparks out of the top the carriage that used to look rotted and old was now overflowing with light and magic. It was beautiful even more so than when my father rode it.
"Next up the horses."
"The stable is over here!"
I ran to the horses they were dirty and old but I loved them.
"This could work,"
She tapped the horses and each one became clean and strong.
It was amazing.
"Now the dress."
I looked down, I was so amazed by the magic I forgot what was happening, I looked at her and she smiled kissing my forehead as the spark of magic flew around me.
When I looked down I had on a beautiful dress, it flowed with every movement and was light as a feather.
"Oh thank you godmother!"
She helped me into the carriage but stopped when she seen my shoes.
"That simply won't do."
She waved her wand and my shoes turned to glass just like the ceiling of the ballroom.
"Glass?"
"You'll find music travels through them quite well." She winked and told me not to worry about my step mom or sisters recognizing me.
"Thank you god mother. Oh thank you!"
"Elle! The spell will break at 12:00am and everything will return to the way it was before!"
She looked sadly and I could tell she wanted me to be this happy forever.
"That is more than enough time!"
I hugged her and before I left to the ball she said.
"You may go to the ball."
