Most of our lives are a series of images
they pass us by like towns on a highway
but sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens
and we know that this moment
every part of it
will live on forever

Parking in front of Camila's house, Shawn watches as she leaves her mother's car and gets inside, coming back two minutes after. She locks the house and walks to his old blue jeep, so he opens the door for her to get in. The sound of them laughing fills the vehicle as Camila struggles to get in because of her height, just like she always did in the past. Shawn is about to help her when she finally manages to get in, looking at him with the most beautiful smile, both of them remembering how he always had to help her with that.

" I forgot about that." She says laughing softly. " I missed this car."

" I know, me too." Shawn says driving to where she told him Matthew's house is.

" Your mom is the best. This car is amazing." Camila says as Shawn parks his new car on her driveway. He just got his license and his mom convinced his dad that he needed a car, so for now on he would drive to school everyday. " The backseat looks amazing."

Shawn laughs at her, knowing exactly what she's implying, as she manages to pass her body between the front seats and lays down on the back looking at him. He opens the door and gets out, then opens the back door and gets in as Camila sits up. She places a hand on his face and pulls him in for a kiss, her lips softly brushing against his as she lays down again and pulls him down with her.

" Yeah, I definitely like this back seat." He says smiling against her lips.

" Shut up and just kiss me, please." Camila says locking her legs around his torso and her hands on his curls.

Their kisses go from delicate to desperate in seconds, making Shawn wonder how could she go from cute to this so quickly. They've been doing this thing for a year now, but never really talked about what they are. They would tell people they're just friends, but anyone close to them had already walked on them making out at least once.

Shawn moves his lips to her neck, kissing and sucking as his hand goes under her shirt and over the material of her bra. An involuntary moan leaves Camila's lips as his hand touch her over the lacy material. She moves her hand to her mouth as her cheeks go red, embarrassed by her reaction, but Shawn just removes her hand and kisses her lips as his forehead rests on hers.

" What the hell?" They hear someone yelling and knocking on the window, making them get up.

Camila's eyes are wide open as she watches her father outside with an angry expression on his face, a bottle of whisky on his hands. She didn't think he would be home, she hadn't seen him in five days, but for the looks of it he decided to come back. Shawn opens the door and gets out, helping her do the same, he knows better than to let her father angrier than he already is. He’s not worried about himself, but he knows Camila is scared of the man. She insists he never hurt her or her mother physically, but anyone can tell that’s not an impossibility.

Her father keeps yelling, calling her a variety of names because of how he found the two of them, until he walks inside leaving them alone. Shawn can tell Camila is about to cry, but she holds it in and walks inside the house as he follows her. The man is nowhere to be seen, so they walk upstairs into her room so she can take some clothes, which was why they were at her house in the first place. Her mother is a nurse, so whenever she works late shifts, Camila stays the night over Shawn’s or Taylor’s. It doesn’t matter if her father is home, Shawn actually finds that thought a lot scarier than her being alone in the house, so he talked to his mom and she suggested to Camila’s mom that she would stay there on those occasions.
