Percy Pov

After the giant war

Too many.

Way too many.

So many demigods dead because I wasn't strong enough to protect them.

Me, the failure of a hero for Olympus

The Gods gave us a month to mourn for the deaths of many of our friends and family but then they gave us a date for a reward ceremony. August 18, ironic right? Anyway, Annabeth and I were on our way to the throne room hand in hand but it didn't seem like her heart was in it. We arrived at the throne room to see that all gods, minor and major, along with the rest of the seven including Leo who had come back after the explosion to everyone's relief, assembled. We walked up to the rest of the seven who all had somber looks on them. "Demigods," Zeus's voice boomed "Without you, this war would have been difficult-" "Diff- difficult?" Poseidon gasped out in between laughs "Impossible" Zeus grumbled "We have decided to reward all of you" he finished.

"Starting off with my son JASON GRACE" Zeus boomed "We have decided to reward you with minor godhood making you the minor god of heroes and lightning should you accept." Jason looked deep in thought but then he looked at piper and knew what he had to do. "Will Piper be offered the same father?" Jason asked "Yes the daughter of Aphrodite will be offered the same" Zeus says. "Then I accept" He said. The gods chanted in ancient greek and Jason was blasted with energy. Piper was then asked the same and became the minor goddess of heroes and beauty. "Jason my eyes are up here" She said as Jason was drooling over his girlfriend. Everyone laughed then came Frank "Frank Zhang," Mars said shifting into his roman aspect" "You did good kid so we have decided to make you the minor god of shapeshifting and heroes" "Dad instead of godhood can you take Hazel's curse over precious metals off? And not have to worry about returning to the underworld" Frank replied. Mars nodded at Hades who then took off the curse (A/N hazels curse wasn't able to be taken off unless she went back to the underworld) Hazel squealed then crushed Frank in a hug so tight that his face started turning purple due to lack of air. He had to change into a bee to escape the hug of death as everyone laughed at them. "Hazel Levesque" Pluto said changing into his roman aspect. "We reward you with minor godhood should you accept." Hazel only hesitated for a millisecond before saying "Instead of godhood can you take Frank's curse of the firewood off?". At this Pluto nodded at Mars to do what his daughter had asked. Now it was Frank's turn to crush Hazel in a hug. I swear those two are perfect for each other and they looked like a 1940s couple. Next was Leo and he declined to get Calypso off of ogygia. She appeared in the throne room with a confused look then immediately bowed to Zeus. Zeus pointed at Leo and all of a sudden Calypso was making out with him. Apollo and Hermes wolf-whistled only to be elbowed by Artemis and Athena respectively. "I know that you have already declined godhood for different reasons but for plot- I mean for good measure we have decided to make you all minor gods of heroes" Zeus said to everyone except me and Annabeth. The Olympians chanted once again and made them all minor gods.

"PERCY JACKSON" Poseidon booms pride evident on his voice. Guess it's my turn now. "We have decided to bestow upon you a gift we have never given out before. We have decided that you are worthy of being an Olympian." The throne room was silent as I contemplated what I should do. "No," I said and saw the gods all with different reactions. Apollo and Hermes jaws on the floor, Athena looking like she was about to have a cow then handing a bag to Poseidon. Damn, they had bet on this. Artemis looked surprised that a male had turned down being an Olympian. Demeter stopped talking about cereal to look at me in shock probably wondering what cereal I ate to not be an Olympian. Dionysus woke up just to fall back asleep. Ares merely raised an eyebrow. Hephaestus was busy working on an automation. Aphrodite drooled at me. Hera looked at me like I was an alien. Poseidon looked sad that I wouldn't be joining him in godhood and Zeus- Oh shit this must've taken a lot of his pride to make a son of Poseidon an Olympian. "You would decline our generous offer?" He screamed in my face "Yes but I do have two wishes. First off release the peaceful Titans which you didn't do the first time I asked-" At this many of the gods looked down in shame "And give Hestia and Hades thrones" I said calmly. Zeus looked like he was about to decline when Athena came to my defense surprisingly. "Father these requests are not unreasonable. We swore on the Styx that we'd release the peaceful titans last time, and Hades and Hestia are the eldest kids of Kronos so they should have thrones." Zeus looked deep in thought but then sighed and snapped his fingers and two new thrones popped out of the ground. One was pitch black with gems all throughout it and the other was made of fire that radiated warmth and hope. 'A replica of the hearth' I thought. Then Rhea, Leto, and other peaceful titans appeared (who are the other peaceful titans?) in the throne room. Apollo and Artemis both rushed to their mother in their 8-year-old forms, who scolded Artemis about not visiting. Apollo, however, got thanks for visiting her often to which Zeus looked like he was about to retaliate but a look from Leto made him stop. Rhea got hugs from Poseidon and Hades but Zeus was a bit skittish about approaching his mother after making her stay away from her children. Rhea being the person she is just slapped him then pulled him into the family hug. 'Mission accomplished' I thought.

After a while, it settled down enough to finish the reward ceremony. "Annabeth Chase," Athena said while my girlfriend got up to go bow to her mother. " I offer you to become the minor god of heroes and architecture should you accept" I knew that Annabeth was going to decline with me so I wasn't worried about her declining. "I accept mother," She said. I nearly fainted from shock. She said yes?! My wise girl accepting godhood. "I'm sorry Percy but this is godhood we're talking about I can't decline it. I hope we can still be together." She said to me sadly. The gods chanted in greek and she was made a goddess. "We can still be together even though you may outlive me," I said while crying. "If that is all then we can start to Party!" Zeus yelled and everyone cheered. The party was fucking crazy, alcohol everywhere people banging in rooms as moans were heard throughout most of Olympus disgusting a lot of people. I somehow managed to slip away from the party after being congratulated by literally everyone. I saw Artemis off to the side on a bench looking at the stars. I joined her but on the bench close to her as I didn't want to be castrated just after the war. "Lady Artemis," I say respectfully "What brings you out of the party?" "I could ask the same to you two-time savior of Olympus." She says jokingly but it's easy to tell somethings bothering her. "Lady Artemis I know that you lost many of your huntresses but at least they can be reunited with Zoe in the stars." I say. She relaxes a bit but is still tense and cut off. "Thank you, Perseus" I hear her mumble I think. Then she flashed away leaving me confused so I went back to the party.
