~A/N~This story is going to be more Eruri because I freakin love this ship. This is a request from one of my friends. There will be an au but I want to surprise ya'll There might be multiple parts so heads up!~

Standing on the rooftop of a building, Levi noticed a titan approaching. Something seemed...off...about this particular titan though. For the time being, he dismissed it as just another abnormal, and carried on. Using his odm gear, he launched off of the roof and zoomed towards the titan. It had hair..but there was something on its head. As he landed on a rooftop near it, Levi could see that it was...what, some sort of headdress? He heard a small thump next to him and turned, slightly alarmed at the sudden noise. "Oh it's just the commander...I should show him that titan.." Levi thought.

"Commander Erwin, I found an abnormal titan that seems to be wearing some sort of crown-like object...made out of surprisingly large feathers and stones." Levi said.

"That's quite interesting, as I have seen a titan similar to that, but instead of feathers it was bones.." Erwin added.

Looking out at the titan, Levi moved back into a fighting stance as it started to walk over to the building. Launching into action, he swung around the back of it and cut a slice out of the titans neck. Because of the close proximity of the titan to the building, blood splattered over Levi, Erwin, and Hange (who had just arrived). This titan had to be some sort of magical, as the blood wasn't a regular color. Instead of traditional dark red, it was a dark indigo blue. The expressions on all three of their faces changed extremely. Hange was geeking out in the corner, Levi was both disgusted and surprised, and Erwin was just plain shocked.

"What the actual hell was that? Hange, do you know anything about this?" Levi asked, the blood slowly evaporating.

"I don't really know much about this, but the one thing I do know is that the blood can have effects on humans...Apparently, they can give people weird mutations. If anything does happen, you'll notice it tomorrow." She replied.

~Fast forward to about 1 am in the morning because I can~

Erwin was still at his desk, dark circles prominent in the candle light. He had woken up to a slight pain in his back, grimacing at both the pain and the fact he had fallen asleep while working again. People were always telling him to get more rest, and as he was contemplating this he heard a knock on his office door.

"Come in.." Erwin said, tiredness lacing through his voice as he saw Levi enter the room in...pajamas? "How cute...they're slightly too big for him.." He thought.

"Sir I know it's late..er...early, I suppose...but.." Levi sighed, looking down at his feet. "May I sit with you for a while?" He finished, finally looking up at Erwin and making his way towards a chair on the other side of the desk.

"Unable to get any sleep? Me neither..I've been feeling pains in my back and shoulders..Maybe you could stay here tonight?" Erwin said, answered with nods and a quiet 'thank you' at the last statement.

Erwin stood up, leading Levi over to a small bed/couch in the corner near a window. As Levi layed down, he looked up at the taller man who was now covering him with a fleece blanket.

"Wait..Erwin..where will you sleep? Doesn't your back hurt?" Levi asked, turning over to face him.

"I'll be fine, I can sleep in the chair...Now get some sleep, Levi.." Erwin said, slightly smiling as he went to sit back down in the chair as he covered his shoulders with a small blanket and put the candle out.

About 7 hours later, Erwin woke up. Levi was still asleep, and as he went into the bathroom he held back a possible scream. From his back/shoulder area, there were two large wings, big and feathery. He turned, looking in the mirror and stretching them a bit. It was a strange feeling, but it felt familiar and comforting at the same time. As he looked them over, Erwin realized he might be able to define what kind of bird species it was. Taking a book from his shelf, he found the correct bird. A Swainson's Hawk...

"L-Levi, wake up.." Erwin said, hating the stutter that caught his words and rubbing the shorter man's shoulder.

Levi sat up and his eyes widened. Wings. Erwin had wings. The commander was looking at him the same way. He felt something brush up against his side and he turned his head. He had them too? They felt weird to move around and stretch. Levi sat up, looking up at the taller man.

"Sir, what's going on? Do you think this is because of yesterday?" Levi asked, struggling to stand up as Erwin helped him.

"It would seem so. Sit at the table, I can make you coffee and we can invite Hange over to talk about this." Erwin replied.

A couple minutes later Hange showed up. She too had bird wings. After she left and they had sorted everything out, Erwin and Levi had decided to take the day off due to the current...conditions...of their bodies. They sat at Erwin's desk drinking coffee and looking over a book of birds. Little did they know, much much more would be happening that day than they thought...

~A/N~ Cliffhanger!!! I will make another chapter on this I promise!~
