Inside the house, all they can see was all the basic designs.
The kitchen has a stove. Under it was the oven. Beside them was a space for the cutting board and on the other side was a space for equipments like the blender, coffee machine, etc. There were a few cabinets at the top corner of the wall. The dining room was within the kitchen containing three chairs.
"Hey! If there are three chairs around the table, how are we all gonna eat at the same table?", asked Jay.
"We've never had guests, but my parents prepared a lot of chairs right over there", answered Lizzy pointing to a stack of chairs beside the table for equipments.
Jay chuckled,"Oh, right. I thought there's no room for all of us to eat".
Beside the space for the cutting board, there was a kitchen sink amd beside it was a dish rack, utensils' rack and the cup rack. The living room was nearby the kitchen where they can hang around, watch TV and listen to the radio for news.
"Cool!", exclaimed Kai,"Where did you get those?".
As he said this, he pointed out a series of detective movie cases entitled "Detective Jane Olsen".
"From the movie store, of course. We had this series, so that we could learn how to be aware of serious crime scenes and situations and that's where our favorite celebrity, Marilia Austin was portrayed as Detective Jane Olsen", answered Lizzy as Kai held out one of the detective movie cases. Marilia expressed that she appreciated it.
"Detective Jane Olsen and a Thief who Stole her Heart", he read it out loud,"We could watch it sometime".
That would be cool, but that's not important", said Lizzy,"What's more important is—".
"Guys!", called out Zeon from upstairs,"You've gotta see the rooms!".
As he said this, everyone shrugged and went upstairs to see the hallway and several doors to bedrooms.
They went to the first door and saw that it was a Master bedroom, meaning that it was Lizzy's parents' room and the layout was simple except that the bed was covered in white flowers.
"What's with the white flowers?", asked Lloyd.
"My parents never came back. I haven't seen them for one in a half years. That's why I covered the bed with white flowers", answered Lizzy looking down in sadness.
Lloyd tapped her shoulder comforting her,"I know how that feels".
Lizzy gave him a reassuring smile as she closed the door and headed towards the second door with others following her. She opened to see her own room. Again, the designs were basic, but the closet was decorated in a pattern of atoms and her bed was decorated in a pattern of stars. There was also a desk for her to do her homework.
"This is also a place where Kira, Kayrah, Raphael and Liliana sleep with me during our sleepover party", she told the UNT.
"Yeah", said Liliana,"Brings back so many memories".
After a while, Lizzy closed the door and headed towards the final door. She opened it to see the guest room with two double-decker beds and a few sleeping bags. There were also a few empty cabinets and drawers.
"This is where you guys can sleep", she said, then she told them strictly,"But there's no time to check it out. We have to go to the lab, but remember: Do not touch anything. Got it?".
"Got it!", they confirmed as they headed downstairs and into the hidden door that leads to the basement.
There, everyone stared at it in awe. There were test tubes, acids, chemicals, a book of experiments and half of the lab was filled with technology.
"I know. Pretty cool, right?", asked Lizzy.
Kira, who was nearby her, whispered to her,"You've never showed us the lab before. It was so amazing".
"Thanks, Kira", she whispered back, then, she led them to a safe connected to the wall,"Okay. Since the zombie apocalypse is still in progress, I want to show you something".
As she said this, she typed the correct code and it opened all by itself. She held out and showed everyone the jar of a liquid vaccine.
"This, here, is a cure against the zombie virus. My father has been preparing for the apocalypse for years. He discovered and created it before I was born. That's why we need to keep it safe and not let it fall into the wrong hands unless the zombie apocalypse starts, but since it started, I'm putting this in Marilia's explorer bag and—".
"My explorer bag was occupied with survival materials", said Marilia.
"Okay. Then, it will be kept in a safe", she said as she puts it back in a safe muttering,"Again".
"In the meantime, let's prepare for dinner", she said as they went back up to the kitchen to prepare for dinner.
