He was with his team, waiting for their sensei to come. Naruto stared at his squad mates and noticed they were a little fatigue...that word is way to extreme. His mind went back to Kakashi-sensei's word-
"Will be training tomorrow and you can't eat breakfast."
Naruto smirked, his mind thinking of many loop holes at his statement and since he knows the ninja well-he knew that guy will be running late for an hour. He just snicker when he heard their stomachs grumbling.
Seeing, it was already near noon. He turned to them, "You guys should eat." He stated to them and he receives some glares. Sakura pointed a finger at him, "But Kakashi-sensei says to not eat-" He cuts her off. "Kakashi-sensei said we can't eat breakfast but since it's nearing noon, you guys can eat because you're eating brunch."
They ignore him, making him sigh in irritation. 'I wish Hinata, Shikamaru or even Choji can be my teammates.'
Well, he had to accept what's given to him. Although, he's quite interested in that idea of forming a secret team with them. That would be really cool.
Sasuke leant against one of the three wooden training posts that were secured into the ground of the designated training ground in which he was currently waiting for his errant Sensei to arrive. Sakura meanwhile was standing to his left, agitatedly shifting from one foot to the other and apparently trying to talk his ear off.
Naruto was dwelling on his thoughts when he heard Sakura whispers something to the brooding idiot and the brooding idiot stared at her before grunting. The pink banshee smiled and a comfortable silent envelop them. Did, he missed something?
He narrowed his eyes suspicious at their interaction. Because Broody stared at her for a moment before grunting...
There's something going on; then, hid mind went back to the days in their academy. He remembers Sakura having long hair but looking at her now-it was short and ends on her shoulders. 'Did she change or is he the one who did?' He's really not interested in their affair but a smile brought down to his face. 'I remember that she stopped stalking him in our third year at the academy.' And he did saw her train one time in the woods...
Maybe she wasn't a shame after all, maybe he should apologize to her but for now he couldn't dwell on his regrets. Although, he might be a little bias when it came to other girls so he should maybe change that.
"You only think that way because you treat one girl like a queen and the others like pheasant." The fox stated in their links and Naruto was about to protest but maybe the fox was right. He have gotten a little cocky lately and that made him frown. Also he never considered other people around him except his friends, Ero-sennin, Konohamaru, The old man, Iruka-sensei and Kakashi-sensei.
Maybe he should believe in others more but his shell is unbreakable and he doesn't want to be hurt and betrayed again. His mind went back to the orphanage, a kid appeared on his mind and how his sweet smile turned to an evil grin.
He could only sigh and leave that old life behind because he have people who care for him now.
Then his eyes glanced at his two comrades...maybe. "Yo" he grinned at them as he appeared between them, causing them both to jump apart in surprise. Turning they saw him standing casually with his hands looped in the pockets of his new outfit. Naruto tipped his goggles at them as if it was a hat as he snickers.
"Why do you do that?" Exclaimed Sakura, holding a hand to her chest to relieve her racing heartbeat.
Naruto inclined his head to the side slightly and hesitantly asked, "Cause it's funny?"
