missing that kiss

After a long night out Taylor finally make it to her door normally she would invite Teddy in but not tonight she has other things on her mind,
"Thank you" she told him kissing his lips slightly it was all he get anyway since the four months of knowing him,
He nod with a smile "you're welcome" he told her
She knew he wants more but could she she wasn't in love with him she's still crazy for her man well he's not actually her man any more for he's seeing someone they both are, his songs ring in her head again she could actually heard the melodies in her head,🎵🎶 if this was a love song there wouldn't be so many tears I wouldn't be sleeping all alone,  but is he! She thought drawing up a picture of him next to that woman his high,
"So I'll call you"
Taylor nod
Teddy walk away and she close the door dragging her feet inside her living room dropped on the settee growling slightly, she promised Hailey to call but she wasn't going not at two I'm the morning she'll just go to sleep now and call her in the morning,
After some tossing and turning she fell a sleep at  four two hours later her clock alarmed she knock it to silence she had forgotten to remove the alarm and set it back tomorrow in the night before going to bed, it was only six on a Saturday she sleeps in two hours later, she turn pull the covers hoping to get back to sleep but her phone ring she probably would ignore it but it was her sister she should have known she would call her up this early to hear about Brett,
"Hey" Taylor said
"You were  trying to beat my alarm?" She ask with a giggle
"You didn't call are you a lone in bed?"
"I am who else were you expecting?"
"Brett"
Taylor sigh sat up took a deep breath,
"His he still hot?" Hailey ask
Taylor didn't say nothing
"Tell me I haven't seen him in a while go on share"
"Yes, yes very much so"
"Oh Taylor"
"He's seeing someone"
"what else did you expect?"
"I expected that" she sigh once more got up to go to the bathroom while she brush and floss she talk with her sister after a long hour chat she hang up but with no feeling of crawling back into bed she dress in her sweats her iPod in her ear listening to a  few Brett young as she went for  a run,
Brett pull on a beach shorts and step out his bedroom door and head to look over the beach he lives in that house which was right near the beach but it wasn't on the beach he live higher than the beach he stood looking down over and beyond these hours of the morning he would do something to exercise run lift weights anything but not this morning he wasn't in the mode for nothing just to think, he  can't believe Taylor was here how didn't Stefanie or Keith mentioned it may be they didn't for they were surprising him, it didn't seems she knew they were getting together from the look on face on seeing him, this was going to be great hanging around the one woman he truly loves while they both are seeing someone else, it's not like they can actually be friends hanging together while she is seeing another man, and to think they have to meet up later again, he was missing her still Loving her needing her and becoming friends to be hanging at the same place with her on another man's arm was definitely a no no,
"The beach looks enticing" Ruth said coming up behind him,
"go a head enjoy"
"you won't come?" She ask
Brett shook his head
"ok I'll just be a short time" she said,
He went in  fix himself a whiskey and sat at the bar, he was lost in thoughts barely hear when Ruth came back I'm his house she came to touch him and he jump,
"Sorry" she said coming to sit on the stool next to him resting her arm on his thigh "what you saw we crawl back into bed?"
He look at her scratch his head, he remember when he use to use those words to Taylor, "why don't you let us crawl back into bed and get as close as we can get" he can't for get her smile and her reply "But I just can't get you close enough" she would giggle on her words kiss him they would make love, just anywhere and anytime he really miss her, he was starting to wonder if God has been so good to him bringing her back in his life or it's just punishment for letting her go now he have to watch her while she love someone else,
The phone rang and he held up a finger to Ruth it was Keith calling he didn't need to hear him say it before he say it he knew this conversation was going to be about Taylor,
"I'll take this" he told Ruth moving out her presence to take the call, "man how you holding up?" He ask
"Was last night a throw into my face, why didn't you tell me Taylor would be there?" He whispered
"what happened why you whispering?" Keith  ask
"Ruth"
"Oh"
"yeah"
"I thought you knew she was in town you told me you text her"
"It was simply to ask how she was she didn't even say more than ok"
"maybe it's destiny"
"She's seeing someone"
" Brett" Ruth call
"Later we'll talk" Brett told Keith cutting the call turn to face Ruth
"I would really love to take you up on that offer but I have somewhere to be let me drop you home"
"Ok so we'll meet again later?"
"We sure will"
She kiss him and he watch her off to the bed room taking a deep breath they were both dress when they meet back in the living room, he drop her off and went to kill couple of hours at his parents catch the game with his father and eat up some of his mother's home cooking before heading back to his place to get ready for the night challenges for it was challenging, they were meeting up at Mel's and Luke's place he  sitting facing the door with Ruth next to him when the door bell went and Mel went to get it, he and Taylor met eyes as she walk through the door with that guy, she turn away quickly but he couldn't loose his focus Luke offer them both a drink Taylor refuse and one was handed to Teddy they both sat next to each other,
Tonight was yet another very uncomfortable night for them both, both glad when it was over Taylor woke up overwhelmed in the morning barely crawling out of bed good for her no work no where to go not much to do, by after noon she could snuggle on the settee with some good old country music and looking back at some photos of herself and Brett reminiscing on the sweetest times they had,
