Akutagawa was spending the night at Atsushi's house and it was late. They had just come back from another exhausting mission and both needed relaxation. Akutagawa had just finished bandaging his wounds. He was tired and bored, not expecting anything out of the ordinary to happen. However, when he heard Atsushi screaming bloody murder, before hearing a smashing sound, he expected something very wrong to be happening, like an unexpected attack. He sprinted out of his room and into the living room where he heard the scream coming from. But when he looked around, all he saw was Atsushi, sitting in front of the TV with a gaming controller in his hand, breathing heavily and a horrified expression on his face.

"Jinko, what happened?" Akutagawa asked frantically.

"A-Akutagawa! I-it's nothing!" Atsushi stammered quickly, sweating all over his face.

"Everything's fine! Really!"

Akutagawa gave him a deadpan stare, suspicious at Atsushi's nervousness. "Then why were you screaming like you were getting eaten alive three seconds ago?" he asked after a moment.
"W-well, you see-"

"You're playing horror games aren't you?"

"Uh...maybe...?"

Akutagawa facepalmed and walked over to Atsushi, sitting beside him on the couch.

"You've literally had your leg ripped off. You've defeated the leader of the Guild. You've been attacked by your own ability. And you're scared of a horror game? Pathetic," Akutagawa grumbled, trying not to blush at Atsushi scrunching his face in irritation.

"But it was so creepy! You'd be scared if you played it too!"

"Fine, I'll play it then," Akutagawa said blankly.

Atsushi and Akutagawa switched places, Akutagawa holding the controller and opening it up again as Atsushi sat beside him. The game was called Silent Hill and it was ranked as one of the scariest horror games in the world. Dazai had originally bought it and convinced Atsushi to play it (poor baby). Akutagawa clicked the restart button, and the game had begun.

Creepy music started up and Atsushi stared at the TV screen uncomfortably. Akutagawa also felt himself becoming tense and slightly jumpy. The screen was completely black until a small sentence popped up, saying, "If they hear you...they hunt you,"

The words slowly faded away and the screen was black once more. Suddenly, the black screen changed into a bedroom, Akutagawa's character laying on the bed. There was no door out of the room. Akutagawa clicked on a key that lay beside the character, making them get out of bed. As Akutagawa approached the closet, a huge bang sounded. As he explored the room, he noticed a door, which he opened.

The game continued, and several jump scares popped up, each time making Atsushi flinch. Akutagawa sat still, his face stone cold, barely even flinching at the jump scares.

I wish I had Akutagawa's calm... Atsushi thought to himself as he clung onto Akutagawa.

Atsushi realized the jumpscare that made him scream was coming up, and he became excited, hoping Akutagawa would be just as scared as he was.

Just as the jumpscare was about to happen, all the lights suddenly turned off, including the TV.

"Tch. It must be a blackout," Akutagawa muttered, standing up and trying to find his way through the dark. There was a moment of silence before he heard Atsushi scream angrily. After hunting down some candles and lighting them, Atsushi and Akutagawa sat down again, Atsushi clearly disappointed.

"The only reason you didn't freak out is because you didn't see the right jumpscare," Atsushi pouted. Akutagawa smiled slightly, moving closer to Atsushi.

"Or is it because you get scared of horror games for no reason?~" he purred into Atsushi's ear. Atsushi was especially sensitive in the ears and only Dazai and Akutagawa knew this. Akutagawa softly rubbed his fingers against Atsushi's ears, making him twitch. Atsushi turned extremely red and gently nudged Akutagawa away.

"You're an idiot..."

"And you're a scaredy-cat," Akutagawa smiled. Atsushi scrunched his face in irritation again, and Akutagawa coughed loudly, in an attempt to cover his red face.

"Just wait...I'll find a scarier game...tomorrow..." Atsushi mumbled as he slowly began to doze off. Akutagawa felt his face growing warm as Atsushi fell asleep in his arms. He realized that he had never spent his time in such a relaxed atmosphere. It seemed he only felt this way when he was with Atsushi, besides his sister. Akutagawa sat calmly and quietly, stroking Atsushi's head for the next couple minutes before he too became sleepy. Just before Akutagawa closed his eyes, he could have sworn he heard purring.
