As I worked on my Charger at the garage, I couldn't stop thinking about Christmas. Gianna and I had already agreed to enjoy Thanksgiving with our families and to spend the day after together so I didn't have to worry about that holiday. This was going to be my first Christmas with a girlfriend and I wanted to make sure I got her the perfect gift. I had noticed that she'd been sad lately and I could tell that she was thinking a lot about her dad so her gift had to be something special enough to take her mind off everything.

"Damien you got a visitor!" I heard Monty yell from up front.

Thinking that it was Gianna since she said she might stop by, I smiled to myself and walked to the front to find Lacey standing there grinning widely. I immediately groaned. "What the hell do you want?"

"Wow that was rude," she sneered, dropping her smile. "Don't tell me you're still mad at me for telling your little girlfriend about your past? She would've found out eventually."

I folded my arms and leaned back on a nearby car. "No I'm not mad at all. I'm just not interested in hearing any of your bullshit especially since I don't have to anymore. I almost forgot that there are some girls who are actually smart and have something to offer other than ass."

She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "How long do you think this relationship of yours will last anyway? It's only a matter of time before you mess up and cheat on her or something. Then we'll be right back to where we left off with me sneaking in through your basement door for some fun."

"I doubt that and honestly, just the thought of touching you now disgusts me. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to work so you can see yourself out," I responded before turning to start walking away.

"Wow, you must really like the sex you have with her," she snickered. "Maybe the new girl isn't as innocent as she appears to be."

I looked back at  her and shook my head. "Not that it's any of your business but we haven't gotten to that point yet. We don't need to have sex for me to enjoy being with her."

"Really," she raised her eyebrows in shock. "You don't need sex? You used to get in the crappiest moods when you went for too long without it. You would snap at everyone and refuse to answer any of my calls or texts unless it was about hooking up. How long can you last until you start lashing out at Little Miss Prude?"

"Look don't worry about what I'm doing with Gianna." I thought for a moment before giving a smug smile. "You should be worried about what poor guy is going to have to deal with showering you with gifts for Christmas to make up for your parents ignoring you. Sucks that they can't stand being around you either."

As Lacey glared at me, Gianna walked in and froze when she saw us standing across from each other. "Am I interrupting something?"

"Nope not at all," I told her before staring at Lacey. "Lacey was just leaving."

"You know I'm right," she muttered before giving Gianna a look and walking out. I sighed in relief that she was finally gone but her words were still fresh in my mind. I didn't want to be that same asshole when it came to sex and the last thing I wanted was for Gianna to feel like I was pressuring her but I was used to getting anything when I wanted it. Now all of that had to change to keep everything cool between us.

"Right about what?" Gianna asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing you have to worry about," I assured her before wrapping my arms around her waist. "How was shopping with Jacob's mom? You guys get anything interesting?"

"It was good but don't change the subject. What'd Lacey want?" she asked, suspiciously.

My smile dropped and I sighed. I didn't want what Lacey said to become a thing but it didn't look like I was going to get out of this. "Just to remind me that I used to be a horny jackass. Nothing that matters now."
