Sundrop's breathing clamped up, and she tried to fight the tears that fell onto the sofa with quiet pitters. "I told the story too well," she hiccuped, "Look, I've made a mess of myself." She tried to muster up a chuckle but she had no strength, Comet jumped out of his seat and rushed for a box of tissues. Sundrop tried to hoist herself up, thinking if she was sitting upright she could stop her emotions from spilling out.
As she struggled to get her new weight to listen she felt her growing foal give her a heavy kick, and with a sputter she rolled and stood up with a spinning head. "Are you ok?" Comet called out, She looked up at him and tried to blink away the screens of tears, "Could you fetch my husband?" She sniffed, levitating the box from him and using a tissue and soaking her tears away. Her cheeks were damp and she cleared her nose when her foal once again gave her a heavy and hard kick.
She took a step back to regain herself, she caught her foot on the edge of the love seat and it knocke the strength out of it. She flailed her wings to try to get herself righted, but the train car was too small for her to get any real resistance. With her unfamiliar weight and her disorientated state she fell back and crushed the coffee table under her, the tea cup and plate flying down and shattering. Sundrop smacked the back of her head against the ground and for a brief moment she laid there basking in the radiating pain all around her.
"Holy!" Flame rushed over to Sundrop, "Are you ok!" He put his hand on her chest and another on her head, She looked up and him. "I'm fine, just fat." She groaned, Flame looked at her up and down. Muttered and going back and forth between touching her cheek and her stomach. "Help me roll over." She squinted at him and he immediately rushed to help give her leverage to right herself, she slowly got up. Flame keeping a steady hand on her shoulder, "What happened?" Comet asked with wide eyes, Sundrop licked at her dry mouth.
She looked down at the broken coffee table now laying on the ground in multiple pieces, "The baby kicked me and I got startled." she sighed, and Flame looked at her with wide eyes, "Really? The baby kicked?" He cooed placing a hand on her side, She rolled her eyes but she held a firm smile on her face. "You're meant to protect me, not support my attacker." She joked and Flame grinned, "Sorry darling, that was an inside job, my claws are tied." he retorted back, Sundrop threw her head back and let out a laugh. Her nerves had calmed the second he walked into the room, and she just couldn't help but look at his face and laugh sometimes.
From his cocky smile to his tuft of hair that flopped about wherever it wanted, and his scar that he says 'makes him look cooler' but she just thinks it makes him look down to earth. A sharp cough took the attention away from him, her eyes snapping over to Saffron. "If no one is dead or dying I think we should get back to work." She coldly told me, looking around the room. Flame sighed a little and looked at Sundrop with careful eyes. Sundrop on the other hand didn't take her eyes off Saffron, she gave her the meanest glare she could.
"Uh Well It looks like we're not over the ocean anymore, so we should be arriving pretty soon." Comet interrupted, cutting the tension with something other than Saffron's anger and Sundrop's broodiness. Flame let out a sigh, "I'm glad, I hate trains." he grinned over to Sundrop who blinked and looked to the floor, "Flame can you go ask the medic on hand to get me some painkiller?" Sundrop placed a gentle wing on his shoulder and he looked at her with wide eyes, they stayed fixed on her as he asked if she was ok with his eyes.
There was an awkward shuffle and Saffron cleared her throat, "uh I could go get the painkillers." She gave a smile, and Sundrop tried to read it but Flame shook his head. "I'll get them, safer that way." He turned to leave, lightly letting his tail run across Sundrop's legs. "I'll be in your office then." Saffron blandly called out as she flicked her tail and turned to leave, Flame gave her a thumbs up as he left as well.
Then the car was enveloped in silence, and Sundrop stood there looking at the glass from her tea cup that littered the floor. "Will I ever hear the end of that story?" Comet asked as he grabbed a waste bin and started to collect the debris, Sundrop only sighed and walked towards the window. "You know how it ends," She barely looked at him as she watched flashes of trees out of the window, "Was it painless?" He turned to her, still holding the bin that jingled with glass pieces, she looked down to her hooves. "No,"
