"Koyagime, Kageyama, and Tokei, if you don't hurry up and get your lazy asses down here, I'll drag you to school myself!"
That was my overly loud mother this early in the morning. We were trying to get properly dressed and prepared for our first days, but we were unfortunately being rushed because we all woke up late. I heard loud groans from either side of my childhood bedroom, indicating that my siblings, too, were annoyed.
I hung the strap of my bookbag over my shoulder and walked out of my room silently. I had always been the quiet one of the family, though it's due to my shyness.
Once I had walked downstairs, I noticed our mother finishing our bento boxes that were for lunch. I had grabbed mine with the same bored expression I held everyday. Tokei, my older sister, always commented how I looked dead half the time, so did Kageyama, but I chose to ignore it.
"It's about damn time you all came down here, now hurry up and give your mother a hug before you turn into moody teenagers."
"But we're already moody tee-" spoke Kageyama before our mother interrupted him.
"Just shut up and give me a hug goddamn it." We followed her orders with soft laughs coming from the four of us, reminding ourselves how our mother's sense of humor is usually filled with profanity.
"I'll be sure to protect you guys in case pricks try to pull anything!" spoke Tokei with a fist in the air as we exited our house.
"I appreciate it, but I think you'll need to protect yourself more than us." I finally spoke up for the first time in the morning, earning weird glances from my older, and taller, siblings.
"And the vampire speaks." Kageyama said mockingly. I only scoffed before Tokei slapped the back of his neck.
"I talked about protecting you guys from pricks but I might have to protect little Koya here from you!"
"Please refrain from doing so."

We had arrived outside of Karasuno High School twelve minutes after we initially left. I had to admit, it was a pretty sizeable school, and I heard it has a boy's and girl's volleyball team, so hopefully I will finally be on a proper team.
"We should split up so I don't have people reminding me I look like the world's largest pigs." Said Kageyama with a blank expression on his face. I was used to his snarky attitude, and it seemed to annoy him every time I ignored it. Tokei on the other hand never liked it and always argued back.
"Can you not be so rude all the time!"
"It's how I get by with life when dealing with a pig."
I didn't want to stay much longer for the argument that's about to cause a scene, so I quickly scurried away, walking into the school.
I was walking around a bit, trying to find the locker number provided by me via paper until a group of tall boys started bothering me. I tried to pay them no mind, but then again boys will be boys.
"Aw look at the little cutie walking around all alone! We can show you around and get to know you better at the same time!" I shook my head no and tried walking by, but one of them stopped me from my escape.
"Aw come on, you know it's rude to refuse a kind offer made to a special little lady." One of them said while holding my forearm with a strong grip.
"Oi! Fuck off! She said no, and no means no!" Luckily, my older sister came to assist me. She understands my shyness and how I'm socially incompetent when it comes to others.
