YOUROSEBEFORETHESUN, you noticed with disappointment. sometimes during the early hours of the day, you would toss and turn in your sleep and eventually open your eyes with a huff. you weren't sure why you woke up early but you registered it to the unusually warm temperature of your room.
you sighed and checked the hour of the clock and snorted when it showed that it was 4:20, followed with a puff, you decided to make a start to your day.
by the time you got dressed, finished having breakfast and brushing your teeth, you noticed the clock reading ten past five. after a cursory glance around your room, you exited the house with your phone and mp3 in hand.
it was peaceful, you noted with content, and you found yourself enjoying the way the cold air nipped at the skin of your face, breath frosty any time you let one out. your experience was enhanced with your favourite tunes playing in your ears as you walked to school, hands tucked into the pockets of your jacket.
upon turning a corner, you notice a familiar head of grey hair and a smile makes its way on your face as you jog up to him, hands busy putting turn off your device.
"sugawara!" you call as you catch up to him and he turns to look at you with pink dusted cheeks.
"[name]!" he says, surprised "whatareyoudoingheresoearly?"
"icouldaskyouthesame,mistersenior."
he lets out a small laugh as he walks by your side "tanakaandiarehelpingthefirstyearspractice."
"thisearlyinthemorning?"you ask incredulously, as far as you were aware, practice never began this early.
"ah,ishouldprobablymentionwhathappenedyesterdaywhenyouweren'tthere." you wait for sugawara to explain their initial meeting with the fresh applicants. apparently they didn't get along that well and caused a commotion which involved the vice principal getting his toupee removed eventually leading to them being kicked out for the time being as punishment by the captain who thought they did not take this seriously.
