IT WAS A PEACEFUL WALK TO SCHOOL, the pretty [h/c] haired girl enjoyed the familiar scenery whilst reminiscing over the past year and looked forward to what her second year could hold for her. she was momentarily disrupted when she felt a vibration coming from the inside of her blazer's pocket. she opened the screen of her phone to find a notification from her mother's contact with a message containing:
'don't forget to pick up your brother after school, sweetie <3'
with a defeated sigh she proceeded her walk to the institution that was her hell in disguise ━ a poor disguise, in her opinion ━ at the front gates of the aforementioned establishment she was greeted by kiyoko with a smile and a tiny wave. she was starting her 3rd year today unlike the younger girl.
"long time no see!"
"oh how i've missed you, my dear kiyoko!" your arms instinctively found their place wrapped around one of hers.
"[n/n], we met up not even 5 days ago."
"too long ago if you ask me." kiyoko chuckles at the pout that forms on your face, missing your slightly dramatic self.
"never a dull moment with you, [y/n]." you beam at her as she leads the way to the assembly hall where the beginning of the academic year ceremony takes place annually, you notice there are quite a number of people in the assembly hall already and so you find a little corner to stand with kiyoko, passing time before you have to split to group with your respective years.

you exit the assembly hall with ennoshita, a classmate of yours from your first year along with kimiko, a girl you befriended during your second year in junior high.
"did anyone else notice that dreadful toupee on top on of the vice principal's head?.." kimiko asks, face red from containing her laugh throughout the ceremony. one glance at ennoshita's grimacing face made the trio break out into laughter, you lightly smacking kimiko for starting the topic which you struggled not to laugh at yourself.
