It's been hours since I forgot to tell Grayson I accept his rejection. Issie winced just at the mention of his name. She's such a sensitive angel. She just keeps crying. So I keep crying. But I'm crying because now I have to go up to him look him in the eye and say the one word I dread the most.

I've been buried into my mother's arms since we got back. My dad wants to beat the shit out of him but we wont let him. It would only cause harm and I need my dad.

Were all huddled on my bed with my dad, my sisters mate, and Walker in the corner of the room. Her mate Johnny came back with Bonnie when she came back to see me after the broken knuckle and all.

That made me hurt more. How Grayson had stood up for me during the fight how he was by my side the whole time afterwards. How could he reject me after all that. We were friends, we confided in each other. We are soulmates. Well we were anyway.

"Sweetheart..." My mother softly says as I sniffle in her chest and look up at her with my red puffy eyes.

"Y-yes..." I'm worried she'll say I have to get up. Move from her warm protecting arms and become face to face with the real world outside her protection.

"Its time..." My heart stops. I know what she means. She means I have to get up and go transform.

Issie's not ready for that. I named my wolf Issie after she lost her first mate. I figured we were on a name basis now.

Most wolf's named there wolf's after they first get them. We first get our wolf's when were 3 years old. It's a pack thing. But I didnt name her, I always thought when it was time to name her I'd know. It was time.

As if Ruby sensed my discomfort she grabbed my had and I looked at her. "We'll be there the whole time." I was still thinking about it, was I ready? "Come on Em I need my bestfriend with me when I transform, were doing this together." She demands tears filling her eyes. I need to do this for her. I was not going to let Grayson break me and my bestfriend's dream. To do this together.

"Okay..." I grab Ruby's hand. "Let's go..." I watched as Ruby's eyes become suddenly happy and grateful as she pulls me into a bone crushing hug.

Once in the woods we all stopped walking. I looked at the sky as the moon is almost in full site. Me and Ruby were still holding hands. I'm 17. Wow. This was definitely a birthday to remember.

"Its almost 12 just hold tight." Mrs. Layne,
Ruby's mom says to me and Ruby to keep us calm. Her mom and dad joined us with her little brother Mike. He's only 9, I remember him telling his friends he recently got a girlfriend. Her name is Aida and she's 8 and a half. Young Love.

"It 12 guys." Bonnie tells me and Ruby. I subconsciously squeeze Ruby's hand tighter. She does the same.

After a second I hear popping everywhere. Its loud and sounds like gunfire. Scaring the crap out of me.

It took a second for the pain to kick in but it does after a few seconds. I feel my knees getting weaker. I fall to my knees and put my head down covering my ears. Hoping the sound will stop.

When relief passes over me I feel amazing. My whole body feels cool and tingling a little. It's like me and Issie are one. I see the shreds of Grayson's dress and I cant help but feel a bit sad.

Finally looking up everyone is staring at me and Ruby. I look over to see Ruby in a silk smooth black coat with her eyes still hazel. Guess her family name wasnt wrong. She looks back at me. I look down to see my white coat a darker shade around my legs and chest.

Feeling a presence in the trees behind me I turn around. Not seeing anything I'm about to turn around but Issie is faintly telling me to chase the sent.

So I do I start running through the forest. The wind all in my coat feeling amazing the rush I'm getting right now is unforgettable. I almost dont realize the sent I'm following is Coconut and Baby Powder.

I stop in my tracks once I realize who I'm following. The sent being stronger than before. I remember that once you transform your mates sent is stronger.

Staring directly into his brown orbs and his Auburn coat. I decide to use my mind link ability for the first time with him.

Why were you watching me?! I angrily mind link Grayson.

No. I don't want to hear your petty excuses. Leave me alone. I never want to see you again. With that I turn around and run back to my parents. Issie was still to sensitive to accept the rejection tonight.

Reaching them I trot up to my mom and watching as she places my clothes in my mouth. I trot back behind a tree and change back. Putting on the clothes my mom brought (Up Top). Letting my black hair fall on my shoulders my rubber band breaking when I transformed.

I was not going to let Grayson Myers ruin my birthday.
