You were very nervous about this night's shift at Freddy's. Not only did you have a near death experience last night, but you made a fool of yourself in front of Scott. But maybe he likes you, too?? You tried not to keep your hopes up. Even if he did like you back, you'd probably end up getting unalived by one of the animatronics in one of your shifts (probably by Bonnie, you know he has beef with you, for some reason).

You shook your head, ridding yourself of these negative thoughts as you parked your car and swiftly got out of it, locking it up. You made your way to the entrance quickly and speedwalked to the office as fast as you could. Sure, you weren't particularly excited to confront Scott after embarrassing yourself yesterday, but you also didn't want to face the animatronics at the chime of the clock.

You made your way in through the left door, as always, and nervously grinned at Scott, who was sitting at the desk. He smiled back, "Uh, hey, (Y/N)! Good to, uh, see you here.." He cleared his throat awkwardly, "So, um, I was thinking maybe you could do the cameras today? I haven't let you take them on yet, so.."

You shrugged, looks like he wasn't going to bring up your embarrassment like you assumed he would, "Yea, why not?"

At that, he went to the right door, allowing you to sit down on the seat. The night began a few seconds after you sat. You frowned and looked at the cameras; the little devils were already moving around.

Scott leaned on the door frame, peering out a bit into the hallway, "So, I should tell you now that from time to time you should check on Pirate Cove. Foxy, the um character there, gets more active if the cameras are off for long periods of time. I guess he doesn't like to be watched or something.

But um, he'll come running down the left hall when he's out of the Cove, so you're going to have to tell me when he's out so I can shut the door."

You quickly switched to Pirate Cove at hearing that. Foxy was still behind the curtain; you released a breath you didn't know you were holding. You turned to Scott, trying not to freak out, "Why does this place get more and more insane by every night?"

"Good question," he huffed as he walked over to the left door.

You tried to remain on task, flipping through the cameras and keeping an eye on Foxy. This was all too much; you couldn't imagine doing this job on your own. You sighed to yourself, noting that Bonnie (of course) was on his way through the left hall. You couldn't decide which part of the job you disliked more: the constant dangers of the door or having both Scott's and your's life on the line as you manage the power and tell him which door to shut and when. You shook your head, the only good thing to come out of this job is that paycheck you'll eventually get and meeting Scott.

"Soo, Bonnie's on his way to the left," You said, quickly switching back to Pirate Cove. You had a feeling Foxy would cause some trouble today.

Scott stood up straighter, more alert now, "Thanks... Hey, uh, just letting you know that you're doing great so far! It's already 2:00 and we have 70% power, so!"

You smiled at his compliment and continued your task, "Hey, I appreciate it. Also, I'd check that light if I were you, now."

Scott nodded and checked, slamming the door button afterwards. You didn't need to look to know that the evil bunny was there. You sighed, trying to shake off the fact that Bonnie really is just a door malfunction away from stuffing you two into a suit.

Scott filled in the silence, "So, what did you think of the finale yesterday?"

You frowned, you couldn't pay attention to the soap opera's finale at all yesterday, for obvious reasons. You shrugged, opting to lie, "Oh, I didn't end up watching it... I had, uh, stuff come up, so..."

"Oh, that sucks," Scott checked the door, leaving it open, as Bonnie was gone, "You could always, um, watch it at my house... I have the whole season on VHS, if you want to, y'know, watch it with me or something."

You blushed. Did he just ask you out or did he mean this on friendly terms?! You looked down at the cameras, not meeting his gaze, "Uh, sure, I'd like that."

"It's a date, then!" He clapped his hands together, moving to the right door.

You whipped your head up and shot a glance at him. He really did just ask you out! Now, you were nervous. You fiddled with the cameras and cleared your throat awkwardly, "So, um, when do you want me over?"

"Uh, whenever, I guess. Um, how does after work sound?"

"Yea, sounds good to me," You said, trying to sound nonchalant as you resumed your focus on the cameras.

After a beat, he handed you a piece of paper with his address scribbled on it, "Don't be late," He winked at you, chuckling.

You stuffed the slip of paper into you pocket, your cheeks flushing. Just earlier you thought you didn't have a chance with him! Your luck was finally turning around, it seemed.

Your positive train of thought, however, was interrupted as soon as you switched the cameras to Pirate Cove. The stage was empty. The stage was empty.

"Scott, shut the left door! Shut the left door!"

And he shut the door right in the nick of time, because as soon as that door slammed shut, you heard a loud thump coming from the left. Even worse, you heard the animatronic's hook scraping against the door, sounding like nails against a chalk board. You cringed, covering your face with your hands. What if the hook can go through the door?

You felt a hand on your back, patting you comfortingly. You whipped your head up and saw it was just Scott. You sighed and leaned into his touch.

"Hey, it's ok. He can't get in. Trust me, he does that every time you shut the door on him, and he's never made it through that door," Scott cooed into your ear.

You nodded your head and sat up straight, looking down at the cameras, Scott's hand leaving your back, "Well, Foxy's not at the door anymore, so I guess we better open that."

Scott promptly opened the door. You half-expected to see Foxy running straight in and unaliving both of you in one swift swoop. But there was nothing. You let out a breath and returned your attention to the cameras.

"Why the hell would they make an animatronic that can run?"

"To make our job harder, I guess," Scott chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.

You laughed, "Sure seems that way."

After a few more minutes of sitting in the chair, anxiously awaiting for the animatronics to make another move, the clock chimed along with the cheers of the children (seriously, where the hell is that coming from?), indicating it was now 6:00.

You practically jumped out of your chair, more than happy that this shift from hell was finally over. You made your way out the right door, waving at Scott, "I'll see you in a few!"

"See ya!"

You almost skipped as you made your way past the animatronics on the stage and through the door. You were excited for your date with Scott, you can't help it! You opened your car door in anticipation and started on your way home; you wanted to get changed out of your uniform before meeting with Scott, after all.
