I laid my head down on the window of the car that took my father and I from New York to Maine. Derry, Maine to be specific. "This will be your new school." I heard my dad say I turn in his direction as he points behind me. I turn around to see a large school with groups of high schoolers scattered about. I see a group of boys around my age talking on the sidewalk. I made eye contact with the tallest one he has long, black, curly hair. He wore glasses with square frames that complimented his defined cheekbones. We stared at each other until my father turned the corner. I had so many questions. Who was this boy? What's his name? How old is h-. My thoughts got cut off as my dad said we arrived at our new house.

As the guys were talking about an upcoming project in history I saw a car I'd never seen before. Which is odd because in Derry everybody knows everyone. I looked Into the passenger side and saw a girl around my age and let me tell you that girl with the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. We continued to remain staring at each other until the car turned the corner. "Whatcha looking at Rich?" Said my friend Eddie who was significantly shorter than me. "Uh.. nothing sorry what are we talking about?" "The p-p-project" Bill replied. "Oh right.."

The house wasn't that bad, pretty small but it is just my dad and I after all. My Mother died when I was 9 years old after fighting breast cancer for 3 years. My dad isn't the nicest person either. It was kind of difficult to not have somebody to talk to when he got in his moods. When I turned 10 I was diagnosed with asthma although it's not that bad I still need to carry an inhaler around. I took all my boxes to my new room and started to unpack. After a couple of hours of unpacking I was finally finished setting up my new room. I had all of my things from New York as well as pictures of my old friends. I headed down the stairs and told my dad I was going to the pharmacy in town to set up an account. I grabbed my long-board and off I went.
