Lily was gathering her things for her prefects meeting when James and Sirius came hurtling past her like they were being chased by a werewolf.
Instead of being annoyed though, Lily had a sudden feeling of worry, what was wrong, and where was Remus and Peter, those 4 were never seen apart from each other.
Lily shook herself.
Something was seriously wrong with her.
Worrying? About James?
That conversation this morning had really rattled her.
She desperately wanted to know why.

———————————————————
James jumped through the portrait hole so quickly he could have been a show dog.
Sirius was close on his trail but he was really scared for Peter.
Peter had good intentions and was a bit clueless, but Mulciber has always been hard on him and James didn't think this scenario was going to be an exception.
He pelted down the corridor, checking for teachers on the way, and reached Peter to find that Mulciber and co had surrounded him.
James caught his breath.
"Leave him alone Mulciber." Sirius said, how he was breathing properly James had no clue.
The whole group, five Slytherin 7 years, turned and sneered at the two boys.
"Have him." And just like that, they left. James found this odd, it was unlike Mulciber to back down from a chance of hurting him or Sirius, but nevertheless he ran straight over to Peter, whom he was horrified to find in a shivering lump on the floor.
James rolled him over and drew a sharp breath.
Peters nose was obviously broken and he already had a very swollen eye, not to mention he seemed to be missing a tooth.
Peter really needed to go to the Hospital Wing, but James knew that Madam Pomfrey was busy with Remus' 'furry little problem', so next option was back to the Gryffindor and hopefully James and Sirius has learnt enough healing spells to fix him up.
The only problem was people seeing, but at that moment James didn't care, he just wanted to help Peter, and at least it would only be year 6 and 7.
Sirius and James has a silent agreement and together they carried Peter up to Gryffindor tower.
—————————————————-
Remus headed down to meet Madam Pomfrey. He desperately wanted to help with Peter but funnily enough he didn't think he'd be much help as a murderous lycanthrope.
He walked past the Head Boy and Girl office.
He wished he was in there. Even though he never really took part in the discussions, feeling socially awkward once every few weeks was better than becoming a werewolf once every few weeks.
He sighed and walked on.
—————————————————-
Lily couldn't concentrate which was very unlike her.
All of Franks words were going in one ear and out the other.
She hated being nosy.

After what felt like hours ( 15 minutes ) the meeting finally ended and Lily ran out the door.
Just as she was rounding the corner to the portrait hole, she was shocked to see James and Sirius holding Peter up, he looked unconscious.
She knew something had happened.
"James, what on earth happened."
James was obviously startled to hear someone as he nearly dropped Peter in the process of turning to look at her.
Lily could see the worry in his eyes.
"H-help, please."
——————————————————-
James could not have been more thankful.
Lily being there was perfect. (Even better, she'd actually said his name, wait- no much more pressing matters.)
Thanks to Lily Sirius was able to go and get a head start on "The Remus Situation" and Lily was much better at healing spells than both of the boys put together.
After no more than five minutes Peter was already awake and sitting up.
The main thing James was thankful for however, was that Lily hadn't even questioned him, or told him off for not going straight to the Hospital Wing, she just nodded and set to work.
She had been amazing.

And James hated her for it.
Why couldn't she just let him hate her?
He was trying so hard but when she did stuff like that it completely ruined months of good old hatred.

He positively hated how easy it was to fall madly in love with her.

Okay so that ending annoyed me but oh well, next episode really is the ball, I keep putting it off but I promise it really will happen, but meanwhile enjoy and if u spot any mistakes let me know ☺️
