I froze

We made eye contact and he froze too. Everything around me went slow, time stopped completely and the voices faded into the background all I saw was him. I stood there in the midst of the conversation staring at my ex who was now with my best friend. What was I to do next?

"Chaé-ji! Chaé-ji!" broke through the silence and rang like a bell in my ears. I snapped out of my trance and looked around at Jimin and Yerin staring at me, Yeonjun still staring at me intently as if he had seen a ghost. The confusion in their faces gave me a clear indication that they wanted to know what was up.

"Sorry I just, I uhm-" I said trying to explain my sudden pause. "You what?" Yerin said back at me, "I was thinking about my--uhm pancakes yeah uhm I didn't finish breakfast this morning!" I answered very fast trying not to sound ridiculous. "You know how I am when I don't get all my nutrients" I said with a snicker hoping to clear the purculiar stares coming my way.

The bell rang and it made everyone divert their attention away from my horrible excuse for drifting off. "Babe class!" Jimin said before putting out his hand. I glanced over at Yeonjun and back down at Jimin's lonely hand before grabbing it and giving him a small smile. Yerin leaned over at Yeonjun whispering something into his ear. He turned and gave her a small smile as well.

I kept looking back at them while walking off to my first class. He too gave me a few stares, often looking at Jimin too. I could feel the awkward vibes that was created but I was trying not to attract attention my way. I could feel Jimin becoming a bit suspicious so I gave him a kiss on his cheeks. I totally forgot about the kids in the hallway and the stares I would get from everyone.

The whispers were pretty loud, I wouldn't even call then whispers more like screams about 'the new guy' that was holding my hand. Then we bumped into Lina and her crew. My day was really going to the dogs, and it just kept getting worse. "Sooyoung Chaé-Ji" she spat bitchily, "It's been some time, did you miss me? And what gift did you bring me 'cause he looks rather good!" she continued.

"Jun Lina! I missed you rather badly, so bad I almost forgot about that big self-absorbed head of yours. Thanks for the reminder though!" I said before pushing past her and her crew. "Oh and his mine, keep your grimy hands away!" I said to her and grabbed hold of Jimin's hand once again. We had to split up because he was getting Chemistry first and I was getting Math.

I blew him a kiss and he caught it before entering his class. I walked off to my class and finally sat down. I gave off a huge sigh of relief, what the hell just happened? Did Yeonjun just show up with Yerin? How am I going to tell her about 'the past'? Did I just smack talk Lina? What will I tell Jimin?

My life is such a mess! Ughhh!
