So am confused looking at my bestie with an urge to tell her. But I can't this is only guy she has feelings for and I promised Derek that I won't tell anyone. I really got to tell someone.

Am working down the hall ways put on my ear pods and listen to Savage by Megan thee stallion and Beyonce. Because I feel like a boss. As I walk everyone looks at me which such shocked eyes after earning the news but I don't give a damn along as I am protecting my best friend. After my cat walk heading to class. Kobe taps my shoulder. I take off my ear pods.

Laila : yes

Kobe : your dating Derek.
Laila: well yeah things just happens  fast I guess.

Now I feel sad for lying to Kobe. I just don't know but I felt a kind of unhappy expression coming from it felt very strange. I could not understand. The Megan bitches called out my name.

I walk out of them and head to class.
I realized it is not only me that knew the secret I had to stop the Megan bitches from opening their mouth.
So it was maths I was having.

I sat beside Kobe

Laila: hey are you alright
Kobe: yeah
I knew he was lying. His eyes seemed watery. I knew he was holding the tears.

Mr hussain: OK class I hope you people received the note I sent last week... Laila and clara come up and solve this linear equation..

I step up to the board..

         Clara and Laila whispering to each other

That will keep her quiet. We continued with the class

         Bell rings
Mr Hussain : please do your assignment. You just never know where you might see them again

           Break time

I went to the lunch hall and sat on me and my gang usual table

Vallyk: yeah lemme see Dalia is the perfect couple name.

Laila: will you guys shut the fuck up.

I noticed that Kobe is not on the table. It was strange today was the day they served Kobe favorite food.

Laila: you guys where is Kobe.
Dawn: I don't know

Laila : he was acting kinda strange today.
I stood up from my seat to go look for him.

I checked the library and every where

I remembered that Kobe favorite spot was the soccer field. I went there I saw him playing.

Laila: hey
Kobe: what do you want.
Laila: it's lunch and they prepared your favorite meal.
Kobe: I know. I just wanted to practice.
Laila: are you sure all is good.
Kobe: yeah.
Laila: OK  if all is good let's go to lunch together.
Kobe: sure

As me and Kobe where going. My brother called me.

Chris : so your dating the drug dealer. After everything I told you. What don't you get. Your life is at stake.

Laila: ( shouts) am not dating him. Am lying I just want my best friend to be safe until he gets a good job.
Chris : meaning
Laila: dawn and Derek like each other. Am just pretending so that dawn won't get hurt or heart broken if she knew the truth.

Chris : that is brave and dumb of you. You could get hurt.

When Chris asked Kobe to go. He came back to get his bag but he couldn't go to the field after he heard Chris and Laila conversation.
