It's been about a month since he got his miraculous, a month since he's been allowed to go to public school. He was very surprised when his father had said that Nathalie would rearrange his schedule for him so he could go to school. And super glad that he was allowed to go.

He was currently sitting in class, his father would be holding a fashion competition. Adrien has tuned out most of what principal Damocles was saying, he's already heard it all before. But when he heard his name he blushed a little and rubbed the back of his head; a habit he had when he got flustered. Nino elbowed him and gave him a thumbs up.

"In fact, Adrien will model the winning design in his next photoshoot!" the class gave excited murmurs and Damocles continued, earning the student's attentions again, "And now to announce this year's theme: Derby hats!" he said excitedly as miss Bustier clicked a button on the remote and a plain derby hat came up on the screen behind them.

The bell rang, to technically start school but the teachers gave them all an absent pass for today to design hats.

Adrien walked up to Alya who had a sketchpad open and flipping through it. He leaned against the wall, "Wow Alya, those are some awesome designs!" he said, glancing up at Marinette who flustered and fell behind the bench. "I didn't know you had such mad skills," he gave her a small smile.

"Uhhh thanks Adrien, but I can't take all the credit," Alya said, turning around and gesturing to Marinette, "These sick designs belong to Marinette. Off the chain right?" Marinette stood up and sat back on the bench, waving timidly at Adrien.

"You're super talented Marinette. You seriously have a good chance at winning." Adrien said, pointing finger guns at Marinette. Alya leaned back on the bench and brought her knees to her chest, looking at Marinette proudly.

"I- uh- I li- uh thanks Adrien." Marinette said, fumbling over her words as she glanced at Alya.

"No problem, Marinette. And good luck," he said as he rubbed the back of his head, "maybe I'll be wearing your derby at father's next photoshoot." Marinette smiled at him and he waved as he walked away. He really wanted to figure out why Marinette was slightly different this time around.

As he walked off her heard the two girls squealing and smiled to himself.

"That interaction was good Mari!" Alya said, turning to Marinette. The bluenette rubbed her cheek and gave her a grin. "But did you hear? Adrien thinks you're good enough to win!" The two excited girls jumped up and squealed.

The two talked for a couple minutes longer and Alya handed Marinette back her sketchpad saying "Only nine hours until showtime!"

Marinette gaped, holding her sketchpad close to her chest "I'm off to my secret garden of inspiration!" she said out as she backed away, waving her arm out mysteriously. She turned around hurriedly and ran straight into a wall. Alya laughed at her as she mumbled out things like 'damn walls out to get me' and 'im okay' and things of that sort. Marinette ran along the wall, barely skidding to turn in time to head out the door.

She ran all the way to the Trocadero, Plagg coming out of her hood occasionally to say things. She slowed down as she neared the steps down the fountains. Sitting on the steps she picked up her sketchpad and stared at the Eiffel Tower for inspiration. She started sketching, pushing the sleeves of her hoodie up. The first one, based off the Eiffel tower itself, she groaned at and turned the page.

"Designing under pressure is pretty difficult, Plagg." the kwami poked his head up from her bag, where he was eating a piece of cheese.

He scoffed at her, "And yet saving the world is a piece of cheese?" he asked, tossing the whole piece in his mouth.
