"Aero shark, direct attack!"
The numbers ticked down to 0. A picture of Shark appeared with "Win" under it in the Augmented Reality landscape.
"And that's what you get for challenging me, Yuma Tsukumo!" sneered Shark.
Yuma lay on the ground shaking as Shark walked off triumphant.
I can't give up... something has to change soon. If I just keep feeling the flow, I'm sure I'll change my fate! Yuma picked himself off the ground, wiping tears from his eyes before grabbing a hold of his pendant. Just think- what would Dad do? He'd never give up, that's what! And I'm the same! I won't give up!
Meanwhile, Shark turned down a lane and thought how much of a waste of time that duel was. He hated it when weaklings wasted his time like that.
There was no point of him challenging me anyway, thought Shark. With his duel streak, it's pointless for him to duel anyone anymore.
The lane he was walking down was silent and there was a bridge high up overhead. As he approached, a large bang was heard and he realised that he had forgotten to take his duel gazer off. He looked up and saw a huge dust cloud, and a dark shape that slowly was getting bigger. It was human shaped, and female. Shark opened his arms as they fell into his grasp. The girl was battered and bruised, cut and scratched, evidently either having fought many battles, or one gruelling duel. Her hair was brown with purple and ice blue highlights and all over the place. She rolled out of his arms and quickly stood up and brushed herself off.
"Sorry!"
Shark had crossed his arms and had a grumpy look on his face.
"Next time you fall off a bridge, I won't catch ya. I don't catch anyone, or even help them. Alright?"
"Sorry! My name's Orianna." Orianna apologised. It was at this point that Shark noticed her eyes were two different colours, and she wasn't wearing a duel gazer. But with a duel disk on her wrist, was it really a duel? Or was there an accident that he just incidentally saved her from?
"Shark." He turned to leave, but Orianna grabbed his sleeve.
"Your name's Shark?"
"Yeah? What's it to you?" Shark raised his eyebrow at her.
"I've been looking for you!" Exclaimed Orianna.
"Why? That sounds awfully creepy, since, I have no idea who you are." He crossed his arms again, unimpressed.
"Well, I'm not too sure why, but, I remember I had a vision, months ago, about you, so, I had to find out who you were! I don't have visions about random people after all."
"A fortuneteller, huh?" He groaned, dropping his arms to his sides, and sighing. "What do you want?"
"Do you think... we could be friends?"
"I have a reputation to keep-" He was unable to finish, due to Orianna cutting in.
"I'll stay out of the way, I promise! I only just moved to Heartland City..."
Shark pinched the bridge of his nose. "Just... keep out of sight, ok?" He compromised.
"I promise!" Orianna nodded eagerly. "Thank you Shark." This will be interesting... She thought to herself as she watched him walk away. I'm a lucky girl to get saved... let alone by the one person I'm looking for, too. It's so cliche though, and that's making me very grumpy indeed!
