Living with anxiety is like being followed by a voice.
It knows all your insecurities and
uses them against you.
It gets to the point when it's the loudest
voice in the room. The only one you can hear.Tendou Satori, a boy in elementary school was experiencing bullying, all the nasty comments he would get just because of his appearance. Usually, he only kept his lazy cat like smile planted on his lips, with his usually wide eyes, but deep inside he wanted to scream out some of the pain.
Words that others said to him, he usually brushed off, he was young sure, but he was surprisingly mature enough to not let it stick with him.
"He's a monster! Look at him!"
"His eyes are scary..."
"Why doesn't he ever knock that weird smile off his face?"
Another day with the same comments. Elementary school was hell for Tendou, sometimes he wondered if this was what his life was meant to be. If he was meant to stay as what others call him, a "Monster"
Was he really that hideous? Did he really look like a monster?
He wondered, but he could never ask anyone from his family. It was already obvious what his mom would say. 'Darling you are adorable.'
It was his mom. Of course she would feel the need to lie.It was recess time, all the kids from 3rd grade would always play outside together. Usually, no it was always at this point.. Tendou would sit and draw with the chalk on the concrete. He'd switch places from time to time to avoid his bullies. But of course they'd come crawling back to him, such a waste really.
"There he is! Why'd you hide from us Tendou? Shouldn't we be doing that?" A boy shouted, his nose scrunching up as he giggled. Two other boys and a female showed up behind him, snickering at his words.
Tendou kept his usual expression, his wide eyes staring back at the kids.
"Say something already! Don't just stare, you're weird!"
"That's a monster for you."
The same unnecessary words, words that sometimes pierced his small heart. Why were kids this age so cruel? All Tendou ever wanted was to make friends.
The crimson headed looked away, avoiding eye contact this time. His bullies only insulted him, they never went far as to hit him. Which he was relieved."Are you sure you're even human?"
"He can't be! He looks like a monster!"
The 4 kids started laughing, talking amongst each other, continuing to throw insults towards Tendou, who only would either stare at them or draw with his chalk.
But suddenly, his once world that was filled with black and white, caught glimpse of a colorful figure. A figure that was filled with so much color.
"W-What are you guys doing?" A small (H/C) haired girl called out, her voice shaking and her small hands were cupped together.
Her hair was braided into two pigtails with two small ribbons, keeping them in place.
Tendou hasn't seen her around here, was she new?
