Sixteen

I slept terribly. Every time I would close my eyes, all I could see was Trevor's smirking face. If I got a total of four hours of sleep all night, it was a lot.

But the boys were coming home today and that was enough to perk me up, along with the extra cup of coffee.

I kept my curtains half closed over my windows. I know that this building has some of the tightest security in the city, but hiding myself away a little put my mind at ease until I'd be able to talk to the guys. I was extra thankful that I didn't have to leave the building today.

I decided to take a quick shower and dive into work. Not only would it distract me, but it would make the time go by as I waited for the message saying that they were home. I couldn't help but check the time every hour or so, though. I knew that they'd be back around 6pm.

And when my phone buzzed, I couldn't check it fast enough.

I told Jin that I was on my way and saved my work. I jumped up to grab my keys, Yeontan's leash, and I and put my phone in my pocket. "Come on, Tannie! Let's go see your Poppa."

Yeontan's head shot up and he jumped off of the couch to join me at the door. We headed out and made our way upstairs, and his little legs moved quickly to keep pace with me. The elevator opened on their floor and I saw that they'd propped the door for me. I lightly knocked before letting myself in with Tannie scooting by me to go find Tae. I hung his leash on the little hook by the door and locked the door behind me.

Being up here and seeing them put me at ease immediately.

Jimin was the first to see me and he scurried over to give me a hug. "We missed you!" He pulled back and lowered his voice. "But maybe not as much as Jungkookie, and you didn't hear it from me." He gave me a playful wink.

I giggled and winked back. "It'll be our secret. And I missed you guys too."

I looked around to see them all moving about and grabbing their luggage, each of them stopping to greet me. But JK was nowhere to be found. Knowing him, he was probably unpacking already.

"I'm sorry. Do I know you?" Jin wrapped his long arms around me in a bear hug. "How rude."

"Yet you still keep coming around." I stuck my tongue out at him and we both laughed.

Then I felt a hand lightly tug on my wrist and start pulling me backwards. I turned and looked up to see JK smiling down at me and the butterflies returned to my stomach.

I heard Jin speak to Jimin as JK led me towards the hallway. "Well, we probably won't see them until tomorrow."

JK opened the door to his bedroom and walked backwards to bring me inside with him. He flung it shut behind me and locked it before latching his mouth onto mine. His hands rested on either side of my face as he slowly kissed me.

My head went into a spin and my hands moved to his waist. I didn't even realize that we were moving until my back hit the door with a small thud. My hands made fists in his t-shirt at his sides and pulled him closer against me, and I opened my mouth a little more to deepen the kiss.

He reached down to take my wrists and bring them up above my head. He held them to the door with his palms pressed against mine and moved his mouth down to my jaw.

I exhaled when the kiss broke and laced my fingers with his. I groaned when I felt his teeth lightly graze over the skin on the side of my neck and felt him grin before he did it again.

JK brought his mouth up to my ear and spoke in a breathy whisper. "Be careful or they'll hear you." He moved to look at me as he smoothed his hands down along my arms and over my sides, and his fingers found their way just beneath the hem of my shirt to press against the skin on my lower back.

My arms fell down onto his shoulders and I stared up into his eyes. They weren't soft and gentle like I was used to, but dark and wanting. He'd never looked at me like that before, but I sure as hell hoped that this wouldn't be the last time.

And that look told me that we had a long night ahead of us.

I got lost in that stare. My mind went blank to everything that existed outside of this bedroom and was only focused on him, me, and the fire that was rapidly growing between us in this moment.

I wanted him. I needed him. Every last bit of him.

"All I could think about while I was gone was you." JK ran his thumb along my bottom lip, which was still plump from kissing him, and his eyes were fixated on my mouth. I moved my tongue along the pad of his thumb before lightly biting the top of it. He moaned and tugged at my lip with his thumb and dragged it down over my chin. "How I would have given anything to hold you, and touch you...and kiss you." He pressed his mouth against mine again, his tongue finding mine for one long and slow kiss. "But I do have a confession to make."

The back of my head rested against the door and I closed my eyes when he brought his lips close to my ear again. He spoke in the same breathy whisper as before, and when I heard his words, my hands slid up into his hair and my groin pulsed.

"I want to know what you taste like."
