The Second Prince

Chapter 9

The Granzreich Kingdom - King's Office

A guard knocked on the door. "Your majesty?"

"Yes?" Viktor said without looking up from his work.

"Apologies for the interruption, your majesty. Prince Alexander has returned. Shall I send them in?"

"Yes." Viktor said.

The guard opened the door for the Prince and his companions.

Viktor looked up from his work and glanced at them.

"We're back, father~" Alexander chirped.

Viktor sighed at the cheerfulness of his son. It was always a bad sign when he heard that particular tone from his second eldest son. It never meant well for anyone, and each time it left him with massive headaches. He just knew he was going to need a strong drink after this meeting with them. "Mind telling me why you went away without informing me directly?"

"Oh, but I did tell you in a note."

His brow twitched at the mention of the note. "I meant face to face."

Alex tilted his head to the side and smiled innocently. "Now, why do I need to do that when I can write a note?"

Leo and Ramesses sweatdropped. Sadist.

Viktor sighed in defeat. "Never mind. Where did you go and why?"

"Oh, we went to the Heliohapt Kingdom to stop a war. Nothing important." Alex said offhandedly as if he was talking about the weather.

Ramesses and Leo facepalmed at his answer.

Viktor blinked dumbly and then rubbed his temple in frustration. "You're telling me you went to war? Alone?! In a foreign country?! Are you insane?!"

"Well, Leo was there, so not alone." Alex corrected the annoyed king.

Viktor's eye twitched. "That doesn't make it any better, Alexander!"

Alex shrugged. "Not my problem."

Viktor's eye twitched at his answer. He sighed deeply and then glanced at the fidgetting brunette. "Who's the child with you?"

Alex looked at the brunette and beamed. "Oh, he's just Atem's little brother. I'm keeping him."

"He's not a pet, idiot!"

Alex smiled serenely.

Viktor furrowed his brows. "Wait a minute. Who's Atem?"

Alex's smirked. He knew he was going to enjoy his father's reaction. "Ah, yes, you never met him, have you? Well, Atem's full name is Pharoah Akhenatem Amun-Ra. And the 'child' is Prince Ramesses Amun-Ra, second in line to the throne of Heliohapt. Well, unless that idiot has children and changes his mind and all. I'm not sure if he has discussed it with Nefi." He hummed.

Viktor twitched. "Nefi?"

Alex nodded and smiled, amused. "Oh yes. Queen Nefertari, Atem's wife."

Silence filled the air.

Ramesses and Leo sighed deeply. That sadist is enjoying tormenting the poor king.

Viktor's jaw dropped and looked at the brunette again. He groaned, annoyed. He hoped his son wouldn't convert him to his image. He glanced at the blonde Prince, who was smirking knowingly. Wait, don't tell me he is going to do it?! He gaped.

Alex's smirk widened and raised an eyebrow as if going to say 'of course I am.'

"How have you and that commoner been? Catching up on old times? You didn't do anything R-rated, did you?" Alex smiled mockingly.

A tick mark appeared on Viktor's temple. "What R-rated stuff?!"

Alex gasped mockingly. "Oh my. Don't tell me you want me to explain in detail in front of a child? How shameful."

Leo snickered while Ramesses looked lost.

Ramesses looked up at Alex. "What is 'R-rated stuff', Alex?" He asked, innocently.

Everyone looked at the brunette with different expressions. Leo was looking at him with pity, Viktor looked mortified, and Alex smiled sadistically with dark amusement.

"Now now I shall tell you later, my minion. Let's leave the poor pervert alone. I'll introduce you to my siblings. Let's go, Leo." The Prince ushered the confused brunette towards the door. "See you later, father~!"

Leo followed the blonde Prince quietly, not before looking at the king with pity. I feel bad for him. He shook his head before closing the door.

Viktor blinked, and then a dark aura covered him as several tickmarks appeared on his temple. DAMN YOU ALEX!!!!
