She quickly stood up, opening the door of her balcony. She placed them back up, scoping all the dirt that feel out. She sighed, heading back inside.
"Stay" she heard his husky voice. She looked over to the house next to her. He was sitting on his balcony, legs apart. He wore the sweatshirt she bought him for his birthday. "I'm actually kinda busy right now" she said. He took off his headphones, standing up. "Is it another book?" He questioned. "Yes" she said. "Read it for me" he said. She didn't answer, just headed inside, grabbed the book, and went back on the balcony.
She placed herself on the chair, searching trough the pages. "It's about a girl" she said. He just smiled softly. "She was awoken by music. It wasn't necessarily loud- it was quite relaxing actually. She looked out her window to see a boy she saw in her dreams. This meant this was just another dream? He was dancing around- as if someone was with him. He knew she was watching. He looked at her, and familiar exhilaration prickled across her skin, raisin goosebumps on her bare forearms and rousing butterflies in her stomach. He smiled at her, signaling her to join him. She opened her window, crawling trough it. As she approached him, she noticed his eyes shining on the bright moon. They hypnotized her. Her hair swayed in the breeze, tickling her back. They danced beneath the shining stars. The clock had long ago struck twelve, which worried the girl if her parents see her out of the bed at that hour. But he made her forget. He made her feel secured. She felt his heartbeat against her chest, making her sure that this wasn't just another dream. They were dancing in the dark- falling in love more and more with every eye contact" Emma read
She locked up at Ethan. He smiled. "That was very.." he stated "romantic" she smiled "sure" he said as he looked back up at her. He turned around grabbing his speaker and his phone. "What are you doing?" She asked him softly. He didn't answer. He just scrolled trough his phone. He stood up, climbing over the glass fence. "Ethan" she stood up, scared of him falling. He effortlessly jumped on her balcony. She held her hand on her chest. "Why did you do that" she said. He chuckled. He placed the speaker on the chair, playing their favorite song. She smiled up at him. "you're so cheesy" she said "i know" he smiled. They held each other a they danced. "Who's that guy you've been seeing?" He asked suddenly "who?" She asked "the one you sat with in chemistry" he said "Aaron? He's just a friend" she giggled "he seems nice. You guys look cute together" he smiled, hurt and jealousy covering his face. "No, it's not like that. I promise" she said "he's a friend" she smiled "i see the way you look at him Em" he said "but Ethan.. I love you" Emma whispered "Emma.. you should be with him I can't compete" he said
She cut him off by kissing him. Their lips moved in sync. He could taste her cherry chopstick. After a hot minute, they let go, out of breath. They stared at each other in awe. "I love you too" he whispered
