(Joe's POV)
I was going to be on vacation soon and I was really looking forward to it. A cruise was just what I needed to get away from the stress of school, really. Also, I've never been on a cruise before so it seemed to be like a great experience.
As I finished packing at the last minute I zipped up my suitcase and headed into the car with my family. My mom talked about how there were teen clubs so I could go and hang out with new people but, that didn't sound like my thing. I really wanted to eat, swim, and be in the arcade room honestly. I eventually drifted to sleep in the car waiting for us to arrive at the ship.
"Joe, wake up!" I heard faintly while sleeping.
"Wake your brother up and tell him we're here!" I heard a bit more clearly.
Suddenly I was startled awake by my sister shaking my body and yelling directly into my ear to wake up, making me think I went deaf.
"GET UP JOE." My sister yelled finally.
"I Am AWAKE NOW." I snapped. She stuck her tongue out at me as she walked to the back of the car to get her suitcase.
We got our stuff out of the car and started to check into the building where we give our tickets an check our luggage. The place was filled with people going on the same ship as my family. I even managed to get lost amongst this large crowd. I frantically looked around me for any sight of my family - It all got dark. I came to realize I had fell on the floor and people were stepping on me. I thought about how awful it was to be short as I struggled to get up but then I heard a voice. Was it my family? Did they find me?
"Here take my hand." Said a guy's voice who's hand was reaching for me. I took his hand and i stood up with his help. Though, the crowd of people pushed me into his chest to where we were practically hugging. I looked up at the taller guy to be face to face with him. He is.... very attractive. I felt my face get hot and I saw him smirk. I was probably as red as the hoodie we was wearing, which fit him very well.
"Be more careful you don't want that cute face of yours to get trampled on." He slyly spoke. "I'm Zack by the way." He reached for my hand and shook it.
"Joe." I stuttered, which probably made me turn a darker shade of pink.
"Well I gotta run.." He smiled at me one last time, and just like that he vanished. I was utterly stunned. Did he call me cute? WAIT. I have to find my family I can't get side tracked like this.....
