Omni, Ruby, and Penny are standing in an alleyway. Penny has just revealed that she is "not a real girl".
Ruby: Penny, I-I don't understand.
Penny: Most girls are born, but I was made. I'm the world's first synthetic person capable of generating an aura. I'm not real.
Ruby: Of course you are. You think just because you've got nuts and bolts instead of squishy guts makes you any less real than me?
Penny: I don't, um... you both are taking this extraordinarily well.
Omni: That might be because of Archive.
Penny: Who?
Archive(appearing in his usual spot): Me.
Penny: What, are you.
Archive: My name is Archive. I am Omni's Ghost or companion, slash mentor, slash adopted older brother. You and I are very alike in the fact that we are both alive. We have a conscience that allows us to make our own choices, unlike those Atlas Knights back there.
Omni: The fact that you can generate aura means that you have a soul, which just solidifies the fact that you are alive.
Penny: Oh! Thank you!
Penny hugs Omni and Ruby tightly. Archive moves out of the way so he is not crushed.
Penny: You are the best friends anyone could have!
Ruby(muffled): I can see why your father would want to protect such a delicate flower!
Omni(muffled): Agreed!
Penny lets the couple go.
Penny: Oh, he's very sweet. My father's the one that built me! I'm sure you would just love him!
Omni hides his sadness when Penny mentions her father.
Archive: He built you by himself? That would be almost impossible.
Penny: Well almost, he had some help from Mr. Ironwood.
Ruby: The general?
Omni: Speaking of the general, don't mention Archive to him, or any other Atlas personnel. We don't know what they would do to Arc if they found out about him.
Penny: I understand, I won't tell anyone! I promise!
Ruby: Wait, is that why the soldiers were after you?
Penny: They like to protect me too!
Ruby: Pfft. They don't think you can protect yourself?
Penny: They're not sure if I'm ready yet. One day, it will be my job to save the world. But I still have a lot left to learn. That's why my father let me come to the Vytal Festival. I want to see what it's like in the rest of the world, and test myself in the tournament.
Ruby: Penny, what are you talking about? Save the world from what? We're in a time of peace.
Penny: That's not what Mr. Ironwood said.
Omni: Remember the White Fang and Torchwick, Ruby?
Ruby: Oh yeah...
Atlas Soldier(distantly): Check down here!
The trio look down the alleyway where the voice came from.
Penny: You have to hide.
Ruby: What? No! Penny, we can help you!
