As I'm walking down the hallway through the glass window of the round table room I see something that makes my heart stop. Actually more like someone. And he's staring right back at me.

Spencer flipping Reid.

We stood there, staring at each other for what seemed like hours before Agent Hotchner asked, "Is there a problem?" I broke contact and cleared my voice. "Uh, no Sir." Spencer went back to discussing a case with his team but he seemed to be a bit more nervous. Can I blame him though? I feel the same. Hotch continued to look back and forth between us. He opened his mouth but before he could say anything, I cut him off. "Okay well thank you for considering my requests to join. I will be on my way now. Uh, good luck with the case." I straightened my back and took one more glance at Spencer before walking out. When we got to the door we shook hands and said our goodbyes.

"So do you think you got the job?" Alex and I were driving home when he immediately asked. "Honestly I don't know." I sighed. "So um," he looked at me, "was he there?" I took a shaky breathe. "Um.. yes." Now I stated fumbling with my hands. When Alex noticed this he turned the car around. 'What where are you going?" I asked. Now we were going in the exact opposite direction of home. "It's a surprise." I scoffed. "Okay whatever."

When we started pulling up to a building I looked up from my phone. Shea's. It was Shea's. Shea's was a place me and Alex would go to all the time when we were young. It was like our hangout spot for after school. Shea's had burgers, milkshakes, fries, stuff like that. It wasn't too popular either. We used to go with this girl named Becky too but sadly she died of lung cancer when she was 14. She was really nice and everyone was so sad when we heard the news. I still visit her grave and bring her flowers every other month or so.

I laughed. "Alex, how- just- ugh I love you so much thank you." "I know, I know." He smiled and grabbed my hand. "Let's go." We walked inside to find nothing had changed. The wallpapers were still a pale yellow color but now they were peeling. No upgrades had been made on the cooking supplies, and the menus had the same stuff on them except the prices had changed a little. The place was practically deserted besides two kids that looked to be about 13 kissing in a corner booth.

"What can I get you guys?" A woman whom I had never seen before showed up. "Um two burgers, one strawberry, and one chocolate milkshake." The waitress made a tight fake smile. "Sure." Then she walked away.

Alex and I sat down in our usual booth. We once kissed here even, when we were 14. We were young and awkward about it so we look back on it jokingly.

"So....." Alex looked at me questioningly. "What?" "C'mon seriously! The job interview! Spencer! Spill the tea!" I brought myself to look into Alex's blue eyes. "What is there to say?! I mean I saw him so if I did get the job, we would be working together." I shrugged. "Yeah but, wouldn't that be a little weird? You know after you guys...." Alex trailed off. "Yes it would be weird but I really want this job. I don't know. I'm just a little stressed I guess." "Understandable. I mean because you guys um-" Alex was cut off because the waitress brought our milkshakes. "I'll be right back with the food." She nodded and turned away.

** 7 days later **

Me and Alex were sitting in the park with his dog Peanut. I enjoyed sitting on the bench in the wind watching Alex throw the ball over and over so Peanut could get it. I felt my phone buzzing in my jean pocket. When I checked to see who the contact was I realized it was from Agent Hotchner. "Oh my god. ALEX!" I yelled. He quickly ran over. "What?" "Its the call!  They're going to tell me if I got in or not!" My heart started pounding. "Well, answer it!" He sat down right next to me and I stood up. I pressed 'Accept call'. "Hello?" My voice was raspy. "Yes hello this is Agent Hotchner from your interview." I waited for him to say it. To say what I had been waiting to hear all week....

"Welcome to the BAU."

I put my self on mute and literally screamed. All the people from around me were staring at me. Alex was watching me with wide eyes. 'You got in?' He mouthed. I nodded. I took deep breathes trying to calm myself down. "Hello? Casey are you there?" I unmuted myself. "Yes I'm here." I bit my lip eagerly and asked...

"When do I start?"
